Great effort guy, not sure I like him at 37 milli but his defensive effort is needed here.

I just ran a comp with Marcus Smart, who is the same age... and Caruso gives you similar defense and better offensive efficiency, but not same volume. Still, warming to the move even at the cost.

Yeah I don't get what the Lakers are doing since they are so capped out.... Schroeder knew it and that's why he played chicken. Caruso fit them well. Very interesting, they need that body. If they get the TPE they must have ring chasers lined up they can sign cheap to fill out the roster, but man that team looks kinda strange old and a bit anemic right now. Oldest roster in the league by a mile with Dwight, Lebron and Russ.

Anything come out on whether it’s fully guaranteed?
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong

I hate to admit it but the primary reason I don't like the move is because I find him to be annoying...and another flopper.

He isn't awful on offense either, nothing to write home about but he can get to the rim especially if the defense doubles off of him (with Vuc and Lavine drawing the attention). He will keep a defense honest, while not really being a threat. He doesn't make a lot of boneheaded moves either. He is one of those guys every team would like to have. Far from a star but a good stabilizer.

I didnt like his LA showing off, but he is good team mate, great defender, warrior on court and solid on offense. He can be starter occasionally, but mostly he can be 2nd unit energy guy and leader.

Tell you what, it's going to be nice to have Caruso and Ball on hand to shut down other teams' guards. Last year we got torched so many times (then again, by forwards and centers just the same, but still).

Losing Theis smarts, though. He was one of my favorite off-brand type players in the league when he was on the Celtics, and I was delighted to have him spend some time in Chicago. Wish it'd been longer.

Made a big trade mid season for a big. Signed excellent free agents in the offseason.

Hope you are ready Zach!

Let's just not start the year like them (don't mind finishing like them, though).
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

I like Caruso's fit (3 and D combo guard), but I hate this contract. That's really steep for a bit player who averaged 6 PPG.

Shades of Kirk (feet on d) minus the over dribbling on offense.

A lot of those PF and C's who torched us came from poor perimeter defence at the point of attacks in the pick and roll. Players like Lonzo, Caruso and hopefully a developing Ayo will help with that.

Plus signing a good defensive PF

“Fivethirtyeight's overall defensive RAPTOR rates Caruso as the best guard defender in the NBA and the sixth-best defender in all of basketball. He has the NBA's fourth-best defensive rating, trailing only three members of the Utah Jazz: Mike Conley, Georges Niang and Rudy Gobert”

Wow incredible, looks like coby is gone, where is gonna play?

As much as I'd love that. Coby as our backup SG would be pretty decent.

Yeah, I'm totally cool with keeping Coby as long as he is NOT playing PG outside of spot/emergency minutes.

Theis got basically the same amount as Caruso. As I said, I like the fact that Caruso brings 3+D and positional versatility, but man, we could have kept Theis for basically the same amount we gave to Caruso...we have zero rim protectors and Theis was a great fit to offset Vuch's weaknesses. That's tough to accept.
