Also we played guys like Ben Gordon, Willie Green, CJ Watson, Afflalo etc so many minutes (15-25) only for them to be out of the league the next season. There's no leverage.

Yes but this is just the 1st few ganes. As you said, Ross and Gary are vets thus they know all.about load management, injuries, covid and whatnot that will inevtiably lead to more minutes opening up. Thus, 8 minutes for the first few games could lead 20 the next 10 and so on
I disagree because no one is going to give Ross a 4yr/80m deal while seeing that he's getting random minutes. These guys are always looking out for their next contracts.
Well we will see how it shapes out then. I just learned my lesson with our PF drought 2 seasons ago and our PG problem last season not to get ahead and claim an overloaded problem.
I don't disagree about needing more players. It just depends on the type of vets we're bringing in. Like I said, a guy like Ennis and MCW sees this as a guaranteed job but a guy like Ross will see this team as a hinderance on his next contract if he doesn't get his minutes and touches. We absolutely need another C, another PF, and possibly another SF. But we are LOADED at the guard spot.

Yeah, we're going to lose a ton of games next year. I'd much rather do it while playing the young guys. I like our group of players, especially with Suggs, who's very much a "We" guy as our leader. He's wise beyond his years.
I'm not too concerned with bad habits or ego at this stage. Suggs just needs to separate as the star I anticipate him being.

I know you're not comparing those guys to Ross right now

Ennis, MCW, and even Harris fall into that group but Harris will likely want to prove that he's not.

I am to Harris, MCW, Ennis, Bacon, etc. Like I said though.. even if you average out 25-27 mins for our young guys, it gives 40+ minute out elsewhere and that's without taking injury stuff out or Fultz not playing the first month. It's just not an issue right now, I don't know what else to say lol. They get annoyed, cool.
It only becomes an issue if the front office somehow pivots from suddenly being about the youth to appeasing... Terrence Ross and Gary Harris? I think Ross gets a decent amount of minutes early when Suggs is getting used to the NBA and Fultz is coming back post injury, we try to raise his price, and then he gets moved.

I’ve been a Magic fan since I was like 2 years old and I’ve watch pretty much every game. But damn, I totally forgot Ben Gordon was a Magic. I had to look up his Magic highlights to believe it.
