Draft on the 29th, Free Agency starts soon after. Summer league between 8-15 August I think.
The FA is usually wrapping really fast so there's that. I'll be on vacation in Portugal between 8-15 August so I'd be down to start our own draft anytime after that.
20 guy, 14 active roster. Don't forget it Ty.

Wait, is this upcoming draft a live draft or the typical we always do? 1-2 days to to decide who to pick?

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 7
Usual.
I've got 4/5 picks in a row at some point tho' so it's going to go faster.
I'm fielding offers for my picks up until the start of the draft. I'm pretty much set with my guys already, just waiting to see where they land and who their teams get in the FA. I have 10 guys I'm content in taking with my 5 picks.
So after our draft is starting I'm just going to go on my way. But before that, if any of you wants to score something and I deem it better that what I can get in the draft(my 10 players on the board), I'm open to making some moves.

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 7
So it's over.
KJG with a bonus with Plumlee out of Detroit(bonus for me) and Stewart getting a bigger role.....aaaand some big losses with Hayes rendered useless and Westbrook losing value on the Lakers.
Giddey will wipe his ass with Dort, he's out of there. Giddey/Shai is the future.
Easy pick for me.
But wtf is that deal with Houston? They had Sengun and they just gave him away.
Sengun on OKC would've been a no brainer pick as well.
Suggs falling past Toronto is a massive surprise as well. I was well prepared to get rid of Flynn if they had taken Suggs, but it looks like he'll be a keeper for me.

I'm lowkey intrigued by Scottie Barnes especially is Siakam gets moved.

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 7
I'm still locked in on Cade. Jalen Green also caught my attention, but Cunningham is the safest choice.
Maybe I'm in denial, but I still think Killian Hayes could start alongside Cade in Detroit.
Giddy went high. I can see the logic behind that pick, but OKC trading away a gifted Sengun is just baffling. Charlotte and Orlando both had great drafts, while the Spurs and Grizzlies had the most WTF selections. I'd love to see Memphis' draft board for the lolz.
Free agency starts Monday. My wish list is for the Cavs to trade Sexton and the Bulls don't match Lauri Markannen. John Collins leaving Atlanta would be too much to hope for...

Yeah. I'd be down for a Sexton trade as well. Rubio got traded there, but I still don't know if he's getting bought out or signing with a contender. He's been killing it in the Olympics, he obv can still play and should be a starter in this league.
No way Cade and Hayes are playing together. I don't see any of them being any good without the ball in their hands.

No first rounder for me. Shambles. But no regrets.
And for the record, my pick for next year is already off limits. Throwing it out there now. You vultures know who you are.

The Lakers signing of Melo, Gay, Dwight, and maybe DeRozan is reminiscent of my first ever fantasy team here. It's like drafting the AARP team

Glad I picked up Theis off waivers at the end of the season. He should eat up the minutes at center for Houston.

Or not.
They still have Wood and Sengun there and their development is more important than the minutes of an old fart.
But I'll be happy if Wood loses his minutes entirely, not going to lie about that.
He's going to be exposed as a stat whore like Drummond and Whiteside in no time, he has no impact on winning basketball games.

Re: Award Winning Lakers Board NBA Dynasty League - Year 7
But the draft is going to be interesting. Unfortunately, FA always **** things up.
I'm not a patient guy, I don't give a **** about potential, I'm not taking a guy who's giving me the stats in 2025.
The Warriors always end up screwing me, they just had to sign Porter. Those sons of bitches. Now Kuminga will probably not even see the floor.
Also we talked about Houston and Sengun. That Theis signing is random as hell, that's a fantasy disaster right there.
Splitting the minutes and nobody getting enough to be relevant.
I totally forgot Kemba was on the Thunder as well.
Giddey will start slow until he's traded but he's a keeper for me, he can play multiple positions with his frame, not necessarily just PG.
