Not unless a Pick was coming back, which doesn't make sense for Cle. I just don't have an interest in a 26-year-old Osman. The move with Ross to me is to inflate his value and move him to a contender for a 1st at the deadline.

Not sure that's happening.

Maybe Ross to Philly for George Hill's expiring (buy him out) one of Paul Reed or Isaiah Joe and their 2022 1st?

I’ve spent the entire day worried Shams or Woj would pop up on Twitter with another disastrous signing for the Magic like Aminu or Biyombo that we all knew immediately were bad deals. Or something useless like signing Bacon in the first hour of free agency. It has been a good day in that no news is good news.

I'd be targetting something like that. I think Ross has a skillset contending teams will value, && he's on a good contract with 2 year years left on it.

These types of deals get done every year at the deadline. Even a team like NYK has two firsts and could look to add someone like him at the deadline for a playoff push.

Would like to see ennis get a good deal somewhere. I'm still hoping for Milsap for us.

Yeah, Ennis has a bit too much life left for me. I think he can actually help a contender. I'd be targeting a more washed veteran forward who'd be willing to provide a mentorship role. Millsap would work. Patterson could be interesting.

I'd bring back Wagner as a locker room/end of bench guy.

Porter on mle would be nice value :(. Oh well, i would be more dissapointed if we didnt draft Wagner. Ennis or Millsap would be great. Maybe Hood or Matthews
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Just get someone athletic or can score at least to make next year less poignant to watch.

What if to facilitate the Dinwiddie signing, we took Harrell and a heavily protected first into our TPE as part of a bigger Wizards/Nets/Lakers deal? He only has one year left. He might want playing time though for his next contract. I do like his tough attitude though but he is probably looking to go to a contender.

Remember last year when nobody would touch Lonzo Ball, fans on the general trade board said he wasn't worth a late first now he gets 4/85, and that sounds pretty cheap. Chicago just got a lot better. They must have a plan to re-sign Lavine, not sure how that money works, but a Ball Lavine backcourt sounds like a pretty good fit.

Honestly, I hope we don't sign any free agents. Was going to suggest Jarred Vanderbilt, but he his RFA. I have a bad feeling we are going to roll dice on Justice Winslow. Fill the roster with UDFAs or trade and bring back dead weight

I guess Evan made the right decision opting in last year to get 4/78 this year...pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Ayton actually had his worst statistical year this year.

1st year - 16/10
2nd year - 18/12
3rd year - 14/10

Yes, but this was easily his best year. Both offensively and defensively. Thats why we don't use PPG as metric of how good a player is.

when a team wins, for whatever reason, the player is good. when the team isnt winning, they are just stat padding. Ayton "looked" better this past year because the team had a good PG and the team won. but he rebounded more, blocked more shots, had more apg the previous year. it was just with a bad PG situation so the team didnt win as much, so not as many people saw Ayton.

Ayton's FG% this year was 63% vs 55% last year, that's a huge difference, one is good and one is pretty awful for a center. Was he better because Chris Paul was there? Most likely. That's the value of guys like Paul, he makes everyone better, and part of the reason a 36 year old just got 4/120

thats a direct relation to having a good to great PG setting you up, but also spacing by defenders having to respect CP3's outside shot vs Rubio.
