AK wouldn't like to be called KGB superagent, I am quite sure of that. Might look at it as insult even. Lithuanians don't like to be called russian in any way and sees that as ignorant and offensive.

Bulls and Spurs deal could be Demar DeRozan for Lauri, Aminu and another asset. I hope we get it done today.

Personally, I thought that the team would have been a playoff team had they done nothing. I think they were better than they showed late last year due to a lack of practice, ill timed injuries, etc.

I'm not super high on Derozan but I do think he would help the team more than Lauri.

Agree. What Derozan brings is a 3rd guy who we could trust to create offense, so that we can be resting on of Zach and Vuc without sputtering on offense. Lauri, because he isn't good at creating his own offense is less helpful, and I don't trust that Coby can do that consistently.

Yep. Vet talent. Makes everything easier for everyone.

Meanwhile... Oubre just signed 3/42. Same as Dougie Fresh. Don't see how Lauri gets more than that. Sounds like AK offered 16M in season as Lauri was asking for 20M. Big mistake. Same for Shroeder and Oladipo.

Think it will have to be Lauri and Aminu to make salaries work right?

Then we still have the MLE and BAE.

Happy to send out Coby, Ayo or TBJ, to bring back DDR.

Can we get Collins back in that deal?

Collins cant be traded to us. He just sign with the Spurs unless the Blazers make it a 3 team deal which I doubt it.

Collins is always injured. I think that was a horrible signing by Spurs unless its full of incentives to get him to that number.

Holv is that what you are hearing. I faintly remember you had sources in the past. Thought you mentioned you worked at ESPN.

Somewhere Pax and Gar are watching this, half a bottle of scotch deep, muttering to themselves over and over "Flexibility, flexibility, flexi..."

Holv03 is being humble. This guy has been making free agency and trade deadlines more fun for over a decade...

Always appreciated, Holv.

I agree, I think 95% of the Bulls Fans thought the same. Now imagine we don't reach the playoffs again next season...with a even better squad. (Probably better not to think about it)

coldfish wrote:I'm not super high on Derozan but I do think he would help the team more than Lauri.

Having Derozen instead of of Lauri would be a difference like day and night, imo. Derozen ist not THE superstar, but he can be a huge difference maker if the combination of him next to Zach, Vuc and Ball works well.

I would even absolutely love to see the coaching staff working with this group!

Red8911 wrote: With DeRozen if Donovan makes it work they can honestly beat anyone ,make the top seeds, and compete. Not saying they will win it all, but they will be up there with the best teams. He’s a difference maker.

I agree with you! We would be able to beat every team here an there. But I don't think we would be a top 3 Team in the east. The fourth place would probably be the maximun (which I happily would take).

I agree with you, too.... since i am very very very low on Lauri! We would be difficult to read with having another option (like Derozen) on the court. I also agree on Coby. He will have his "hot" days....but he won't be able to access that every game

I would prefer to hang on to Coby but am perfectly willing to let him go if need be. AK is pushing his chips to the center of the table...
