GL, Evan, I barely knew ya!

(did I do well?)
Good assessment:

We've got to be smarter.

He's better than Gordon. Gordon has been largely disappointing with DEN. They just signed Jeff Green...

Green will be a good 6th man for them, this was a great opportunity for them and they got it.
I wasn't on Gordon's camp either but he's better than Fournier. He wasn't disappointing. He fits well with Jokic, he doesn't demand touches and he's a bazillion times better in defense than Evan. Plus, still has upside.
But you need a great big next to him. We don't have that.
In any case, none of these guys were what we want here.
We want a solid 3rd option in offense and that comes with a contract of 20mil per(at least).
Evan is not that guy, Knicks will regret it before the season ends.

Congratulations for not overpaying this dude.
As a Magic fan, I'm here to share with you the fantastic feeling of getting rid of one of the most annoying chuckers I've ever seen.
The shoot-only-and-always, no-defense, no-leadership Evan Fournier.
Believe me, you are much better without him on your team.

I like his skill-set and it potentially could've blended well with Tatum-Brown. But I think his price was too high. We'll see what Brad comes up with soon enough to replace Evan...

But then they would have "lost" Tatum and Brown for refusing to add someone at the deadline.

Lol this is going to tank the Knicks. With a healthy Brown.. Fournier wouldnt have done much in Boston and wouldve pouted the whole time. At this point the Celts need to develop Romeo or Nesmith into what Fournier wouldve provided

Seems like a great guy, wish him well. Not sure what the Knicks are doing, basically creating a more expensive version of a one win playoff team plus Fournier.

Good luck to him. Won't miss his lack of defense.

And so I’m in the Fournier appreciation camp, I really see him as Gordon Hayward light, without the injury issue.
I never thought much of him on the Magic but think his ability to bring the ball up and play point forward will be missed. We literally have no shooting aside from our our two wings left on the team.
Our inability to land a FA could lead to the loss of the Brown/Tatum core, so I’d have gone with the bird in the hand, the slightly balding French Assassin.
Tanking :nonono: Live for the day 8-)

Hayward was actually a plus defender. If Fournier was anywhere close to that I would have wanted them to pay him his money. But he is atrocious. We didn't see fully how bad he was because Kemba was even worse and teams picked on him more, but when they picked on Evan it was almost as disastrous.

The Brown/Tatum core is signed for 3 more years. It's a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league. If in 3 years we have made the finals and maybe even won, nobody will remember that we chose not to resign Evan Fournier. I'd rather save the money and roster space for someone who will genuinely help get us to a championship.
