Still a stack of players who could help us and money is drying up a little elsewhere. Hopefully a couple of similar surprises tomorrow.
Well, he signed for the minimum, so it's low risk.
Boogie got full MLE.

Yeah I think it's a good signing...so long as he can get on the floor.

Boogie came for the taxpayers MLE from memory, not full. More using him as an example of a bargain signing we all got hyped about, for little return.

Batum played a great game today in the Olympics. It hurts.
Mannion was not good today, Gobert presence in the paint prevented him from driving and his 3 point shot wasn't falling (as always). I think his success in this team and in the NBA in general will come down to how well he'll be able to improve his shot.

Interested to see what Wizards gave up, consideirng Dinwiddie was offered to us for Oublander

that would i still do not forgive myers for :banghead:

While I can understand the appeal, Dinwiddie wouldn't have re-signed with the Warriors to a backup role and I seriously doubt the Warriors want to pay 5 max contracts. Curry/Dinwiddie/Klay/Wiggins/Green would be a track meet, but doesn't really work.

Someone convince Andre Drummond to a minimum to play for a title

I don't see the fit.

If you care about just rebounding there are/were other better options out there.

Still want Iguodala as a coach.

Neto is an okay PG prospect for vet min, but don't know that he's worth the roster spot over Jessup (maybe) or Paschall.

Chriss/RoLo

Fairly sure SOME center will be signed, and it may end there.

Marcus Thompson: "Sources say the Warriors have hope with free-agent guard Patty Mills, the long-time Spurs reserve. He figures to be one of those difference-making fits. At 32, with a championship ring, 90 career playoff games and noteworthy international experience, Mills checks the veteran box. The Warriors could use his shot-making and offensive creation.

Maybe they should get Saint Mary’s College coach Randy Bennett to call to his former point guard, put in a good word. Mills, an Australian, is in Tokyo for the Olympics. So are Steve Kerr and Draymond Green. Is the basketball cosmos conspiring on the Warriors’ behalf again?
...
If Jazz forward Joe Ingles is indeed available for trade, sources say the Warriors do have interest — just no good way to get him. Ingles, approaching 34, fits the Warriors’ need for a veteran and another offensive playmaker. His passing would fit perfectly with the Warriors. He can run point forward and spot up off the ball, making him viable with the starters and the second unit. He’s got 45 playoff games under his belt. He shot a career-best 45.1 percent from 3 on a career-high 6.1 attempts per game — his third season at 44 percent or above. He’s also reputed for being a great guy and would add to the culture of the locker room."

I don't think Iguodala is worth the roster spot.

Don't much care one way or the other about Mills, think he's wildly over-rated would rather have Neto.

https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm_finder.cgi?request=1&sum=0&player_id1=netora01&p1yrfrom=2021&player_id2=millspa02&p2yrfrom=2021

Chriss/RoLo and call it done.

Curry/Poole/Neto
Klay/Moody/Jessup
Wiggins/Porter/Kuminga
Green/JTA/Paschall
Lopez/Looney/Wiseman

That is assuming Jessup beats Lee for a spot and Paschall sticks around.

That's a good team but health is critical.

Am I right that GSW only has the MLE at ~$6 million and possible S&T of Oubre to get something more than the vet minimum?

Yes. S&T of Oubre is fairly unlikely. The best recent move I've heard was Oubre/Paschall to Jazz for Ingles.

Do you think the dynamics change the longer FA drags on? I think the Bulls are looking for defensive wings...a S&T of Oubre for Markkanen would be interesting to me, at least. Oubre may start to realize he's overpriced his services... .

The longer it drags the less options Oubre has as teams run out of cap.

I think right now only OKC, CHA, and SAS have the cap space for the $15m-$20m type of deal Oubre is looking for.
