I've been one of the trust management homers but I will say, it seems like they got cocky after the championship and kept losing pieces one by one thinking that they'll easily replace them, forgetting how hard it is to acquire free agents to Toronto.

Frustrated because we didn't have to SnT Kyle, and how is precious and a 2nd worth missing out on FAs.
Outside of trades, has Masai signed anyone worthy of their contract?

Same thing with my Dallas team. We have a generational player, we finally get capspace to surround him with talents, and we forgo the space to sign Reggie bullock and stay over the cap

Ino mgmts can't tip their hands but I'd love a reporter to ask these guys wtf they are doing

Missing out on free agents? We are NOT A FREE AGENT DESTINATION. This is not how the team operates. We draft guys, we sign guys on the cheap and we develop our own talent. We also trade for it. We aren't the Lakers or Heat. This should be obvious to you if you have followed the Raptors for more than a couple of years.

Yawn yawn yawn, we had the means to sign players. That's asset accumulation as well, the best kind because you don't have to give up other assets. Sure we may not have gotten a big fish, but Holmes was attainable, he would've been a nice player to add to a deal in a yr or 2 for a bigger fish. Players like and need money and this mgmt sucks at giving the right players money.

It's easy to pay or not pay someone you are already associated with, we need to hit on a FA at some point

While this is true, we haven't had the benefit of adding pieces to our championship roster - losing Kawhi for nothing still stings. Every other championship team, was at least able to add vets, decent free agents on the low , etc. Raps were never and aren't ever going to be a FA destination, it is what it is. We'll likely continue to buy low risk, low reward reclamation players, and develop our own guys internally.

In terms of the rest of the roster - gasol, danny green, and ibaka - none of them move the needle at all for us.

Don't listen to rumors/speculation. We have no idea how interested Holmes actually was. We already knew he likes Sacramento. It wasn't a hard decision for him to return. For all we know...he was using us to get the Kings to hurry the f up and give him an offer.

The rest of your own unhappiness is on you. Don't ever expect this team to sign any free agents of importance...it isn't how an NBA team in Toronto works...you should know better by now...unless you're a casual or 12 years old.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

This is probably to build up his value to get more at the deadline. It's clear we're not winning **** this year.

I don’t think there were many coveted free agents this years that would have allowed us to become contenders again. From everything I have seen, people wanted Allen the most, but due to his RFA contract, he was overpaid by Cleveland.

I wish we would have gotten Noel, Collins, and maybe Holmes. However, neither of them would have moved the needle in the centre position. The funniest thing about this years FA is that most players stayed with their current teams, and only the players past their “prime” changed teams.

What? You had expectations of us being as good as the Nets or Bucks if we only picked up Nerlens Noel or Richaun Holmes? What are you smoking, man?

I would not want Dragic either. But a bench of Dragic, Flynn, Boucher, Barnes, Prince, 3rd season of development(which is usually the one looking at FVV&Pascal) for Watson, Yuta, Bembry(?) would look pretty good on paper
