It’s crazy and a refreshing change that we are under the cap
Hopefully we can use that to our advantage

New plan!

Trade the NOP 1st for Coby White.
Sign Georges Niang to the minimum ( 3pt specialist PF/SF)
Resign Bismack to the minimum
Sign Khem Birch 2yr 10m

Still have some cap space too.

Ball - White - Riller
Gordon - Rozier - Bouknight
Miles - Niang - Arnoldas
PJ - McD
Plumlee - Khem- Biz

In no world does Rozier come off the bench.

Backup PG is by far our biggest need ATM but it seems like Kupchack mentioned something about bringing in two centers this offseason. I don't know how much he trusts Vernon and Kai to get heavy minutes this season if Plumlee goes down

We need a dog on this team. Trade for Patrick Beverley (with an asset on top) so the Clippers can sign Reggie Jackson and then give Robin Lopez the bi-annual exception.

Ntilikina? I know, I know. But at least he plays top-tier D, can guard 1-3, and would seem to pair well with Bouk or Rozier. He's not a scorer/3-baller, but at least he was hitting his 1.5 attempts a game last year at a great clip. Straws, amigos. I'm grasping at straws.

I wonder if we r still holding out for a trade where we need quite a bit of room just to absorb a player without sending much if any back

Since Gordon promised to bring in some help and hasn't delivered, here are some guys he's played with:

Joe Ingles (rumored to be available)
Dante Exum
Enes Kanter
Shane Larkin (he's been killing it overseas)
Paul Milsap

He let Daniel Theis, Rodney Hood, Alec Burks, and Ojeleye get away.

let's be real, which free agent is making their decision on "it would be cool to play with Hayward 45 times a year"? They're going with whoever offers them the fattest contract or a chance at a title.

I wouldn't mind Joe Ingles here at all but now we have a gaping hole at backup PG that needs filling :banghead:

I gotta think the Whiteside deal is coming once we get the other PG issue squared away.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Yeah as much as I like Gordon he isn't swaying anyone to come play here. Lol.

Wow the options for FA point guards are fading fast. It may take a trade to get someone worthwhile.

I'm pretty sure there were never any players than filled MORE than two of those needs at a time. That would be quite the player.

As far as players that fill at least two -- Patty Mills and Reggie Jackson are still available. They fill 1 and 2 on your list.

Man you're really down on this offseason lol.
