They'll get value for Dinwiddie. Might even get Harrell and Kuz, who despite being flawed players, are still positive contributors. I don't think the Kings want Harrell anymore since they retained Holmes, but it would be such a troll if the Nets flip those two guys for Buddy.

Gay to Jazz hurts, but nothing the Lakers could have done there. $12mil is $12mil. Really hoping Green or Mills can make it. It's looking more and more like Melo to LAL is going to happen.

Is there any reason to believe Green would be interested in a return to the Lakers?

His one season ended with a lot of bashing and then an offseason trade.

I really hope they find a way to sign and trade Schroeder. The fit is going to be even more clunky if they're forced to bring him back. I guess his defense could be useful but they don't need anything he brings offensively. On top of that, he wouldn't exactly help the non-Westbrook minutes which I was hoping would be Lebron + shooters. You're basically going to have a non-shooting PG on the court at all times.

The idea of signing and trading Schroder for something of value is looking more and more like a pipe dream. It seems like the rest of the league has worked out that he's a sixth man rather than a starter. Even if you want him at this point, you could probably get him with an exception.

He went for the mini MLE, which the Lakers could've matched. I guess they're holding it for Patty Mills, which is fine. But they better get Mills, if they lost out on Gay to wait for him.

Catastrophe rn

Who is our role player wing defender?

Bazemore and Ariza are bench guys, we need a real difference maker

Should have been 1 of Rudy, OPJ or Batum

Even PJ Tucker

Any guys to trade for?

And who can replace KCP as a chaser

I'm pretty confident Bazemore can replicate KCP's production. Lets not forget that KCP was looking like a borderline scrub who couldn't play defense on the Pistons. A lot of these role players will look better next to LeBron and Vogel's defensive coaching.

Not sure if that’s true, his defensive numbers were similar to here it looks like

But is bazemore a chaser? Not sure what kind of defender he is

Is Bazemore really a guy who is playing crunch time for you in the finals?

Or an old Ariza?

AC was someone you could trust to play at the end of big games

I’m already prepared for the stupid melo signing

I have no clue what defensive wings (that can somewhat shoot) are left

Best guys left it seems like (that are somewhat realistic)

Guards:
Reggie Jackson (likely too much and stays with LAC)
Mills
Danny Green

Forwards:
Iggy
Oubre (meh)
Millsap (does he even fit?)

Really need to make use of Dennis in a trade

Assuming THT is back since this franchise loves potential and hates analytics

I'd take Oubre in a heartbeat if he was a realistic option. He gets a bad rap and he isn't a great shooter but I think he's a better wing option than Baze and Ariza. He wasn't great last season but he was really productive in Phoenix.

I understand the concerns over age of the roster but this isn’t much different from how Miami is doing business either. They have one young big in Bam, the rest of the main rotation outside Herro are vets in their 30s. Lakers have a similar make up around Davis and THT as the prime or pre prime guys. Riley has followed the same blueprint season after season by prioritizing high end talent and filling roster spots around them with whoever is best available for the least money.

They have more capable guard and wing defenders...

I forgot to include Oladipo

Adv numbers aren’t too bad because of his defense

Not a great fit though, unless we move THT

We have 3 guys who will for sure be closing games in Russ, Bron and AD

What other 2 fit?

Mills maybe? But he is small

Ariza and Bazemore shouldn’t be in there or maybe 1 of them depending who the 4th guy is

We need Dennis or AC’s possibly exception to get us a guy here

Ingles as a sneaky trade somehow?

And it was undeserved. He spaced the floor - even if he's not hot from 3 you gotta respect his shot. But not only that - he was a major major contributor on defense, and you don't find many 3 and D guys like that. Lakers missed him this year and they'll keep on missing him.

He was still not great come playoff time, was way worse than his regular season play

Yes I know he was “injured”

We are running out of options though, so I would take him for the Mle if he wants it, but phi likely pays him more

Surprised we are so quiet so far

Dennis is the big piece that will affect who we sign with mle

No idea who the starting 2 guard is gonna be. Is it really gonna be Ellington?

Who even is left that's worthy of the Lakers' mini MLE? Gay, Otto Porter, and Mills were the top candidates and they're all gone. DeMar isn't taking a mini MLE. Are they gonna give it to Melo?

Danny Green seem like the best guy left

Oubre?

Bazemore would start rn I think

Pelinka better have a plan
