On top of Brooklyn’s injury concerns, there’s always the chance that this is the year Kyrie finally totally loses his mind and just disappears into the wilderness or something.

Well, this is getting bleak. I guess thinking positive, don't hear much on Schroeder. Maybe he sees how big of a role he could have here and takes the exception on a prove it deal and then hope to cash in next year.

We have such a hole at G they have to have something up their sleeve.

I mean, there are plenty left. It's just a question as to whether or not we'll sign one.

Still curious to see how it all comes together in LA, but it's wild that they still haven't even touched their TMLE and could also theoretically bring Schroder and or THT back.

Hey look at that. A team that's maximizing it's championship window and depth and not caring about some extra luxury tax dollars. Must be nice....

Hey look at us. A team that actually won the championship and whose window is still wide open with what we have. Must be nice.

Would you rather trade places with the Nets? Just exchange the championship for Patty Mills and you get to relive what it is like winning one for the first time.

This isn't taking into account how much they are paying players under the table.

Lakers are incredibly old and really it will all still come down to whether LBJ and AD stay healthy.

BKN is clear cut favorites and really they should roll everyone if healthy. But, difference between them and LA is BKN can afford an injury since they have 3 guys. LA can't.

What is the ancient Lakers team going to look like by the time the playoffs come around?

Hell of a strawman you've built there. Do you guys really get satisfaction in excusing ownership for skimping out on a 1-2 year tax bill?

Yeah, Brooklyn to me remains the favorites to win the title next year. Lakers are starting to shape up, but for now, I think we're probably on par with them. Still have to see what happens with Schroder, THT, and their TMLE though.

For now it looks like:

Guards: Westbrook, Monk
Wings: Bazemore, Ellington, Ariza
Bigs: LeBron, Davis, Melo, Dwight, Gasol

free agency isn’t over. Your side of the argument is all doom and gloom that we are done just because we didn’t get Patty Mills.

If it's not Schroeder or Oladipo to fill that obvious guard need, I'm a tad perturbed. Lou Will would be a nice microwave scorer too, but it's definitely getting a tad thin out there today.

Nets basically say "I aint' worrried about no stinking luxury tax".

Their owner seems to be bound and determined to beat us next season.

I'm not all that impressed with anything LAL has done. All they've done is gotten older. The Westbrook trade could just as likely hurt them as help them, most of their support guys are at least 5 years past their prime, and Monk is only good with the ball in his hands, which won't likely happen in LA.

Brooklyn though...

Hey, Malik Monk is not that old.
