i dislike melo signing

he is a bad defense + good spot up shooting guy at this stage of hks career, but unlike someone like bryn forbes he tries to take franchise player shots still at bad percentages

once in a while his hard midrange shots fall and people (and carmelo) convince themselves he is still some sort of high level player

He is 6’3...

Jr is taller and bigger

I don’t mind Monk, but weird with him and Wayne

We are missing 2 way guys

Kcp and AC were 2 way guys

Ariza and Bazemore are 2 way guys, but much worse and older

Danny Green? Oubre?

Who else would we even sign for the Mle

Let's hope they find their shot next season as well. The spotlights seem to take 5% off their season average...

i am impressed that other fanbases are angry at lakers priviledge lol

i am not a lakers fan and find it kinda hilarious that all of sudden washed Carmelo Anthony , wayne ellington and even howard are a unfair supporting cast

Very happy with the Monk signing. It legitimately came out of nowhere.

With the Lakers going all in on shooting around the big 3, it would be great if Love was bought out and signed with them. He could play the 4 next to any of the 3 C on the roster. If the Lakers don't use their mini MLE, then they should be able to outbid the other contenders. Brooklyn used theirs for Mills.

Him taking that big discount was never realistic. Chicago should be really fun this year.

If you listen to Colangelo, he looked beyond cooked when he showed up to try out for team USA.

Derozan is impersonating a guy who was impersonating Michael Jordan, so a few turnaround fadeaways from the post should be fun to see again from a 6'6 SG in a Bulls uniform.

No,Love would kill our defense...He is way too slow and he is not good to protect the rim.

Listen I love me some Caruso, but he is not a two-way player.

vogel will need to do some magic in defense

i think westbrook can be a neutral defender (fwiw, his advanced métrics defensively looked good in wizards) but losing kcp and caruso defense will hurt

davis and lebron will have to do work anchoring and quarterbacking the defense now and i am worried thst westbrook has shooting will neutralize gains in spacing

or that Carmelo will still want his 5+ post ups a game to tank his efficiency

i sáy it now, i dont like what the lakers did, maybe i will be wrong and eat crow tho

Maybe, but the same thing was said about Griffin before he signed with Brooklyn. I think it's probably a motivational problem. And maybe Colangelo's comments may have lit a fire under him.

But either way, I doubt he's bought out, probably too much money left.

S&T Schröder for Marcus Smart and this could go from a C to a B+ offseason.

I'm really curious to see who we use our MMLE for.

Green maybe?

If Brad Stevens does this, that'd be nuts.

He was good enough on offense to justify his great defense

The issue was he was played with so many non shooters

Melo Wayne and Monk are awful at D sadly

That would be nice, but why not just keep the cheaper AC then
