My first thought too. With Young, Spurs out of the Lauri sweepstakes?

At this point, he may remain with the Bulls. But the Spurs were largely considered his landing spot heading into FA.

I would go as far to say that it is kind of likely, for what it is worth. Everything aligns.

Nunn is available, we could make a run at him, we need a backup PG

OKC has to be the biggest threat should they want him.

Re: Free Agency Thread
If Malik gets moved in a bigger deal, I'd keep an eye out on Tyler Dorsey. Similar physical profile and age (25) and a shooter who has played the last few years with Maccabi

I never heard of Knight, Miller, or Wright our 3 signings.

If Markkanen expects to be a starter, I'm not sure he will in OKC. Aren't the Thunder trying to develop Poku?

Miller and Wright are UDFAs. Knight is a 2nd year player who played for the Hawks last season. Had some decent games filling in when Capela was hurt. 6'10, 253 lb PF/C who is in that rim running/shot blocking mold. He has 3 point range as well

If knight comes in and impresses he might make Reid expendable to trade while his value is high.

At least Knight is a big. Seems like Drummond is just going to old Dwight Howard teams. I actually would've liked Robin Lopez for what he signed for but maybe no state income tax makes a $5m in Orlando a $8-9m with MN.
I have to say like what some teams are doing but some others I'm scratching my head to be honest.

yeah, i don't know why Bulls wouldn't wait it out, let the money dry up for Lauri
they have the leverage, maybe Lauri takes qualifying offer rather than lock into a multi year deal at a $$ that the Bulls want
