Judging by stereotypes about Baynes and stereotypes about Japan I'm guessing the local facilities weren't designed for his particular, uh, measurements

If we can get anything for Paschall its a win, though getting a SRP would have been more ideal. Imagine if we were the team that nabbed Cooper in the 2nd

Looks like the Jazz are trying to do Spidey a solid by bringing in his former college teammate and buddy.

Edit: looks like Utah has some trade exceptions that they can fit him into.

So Toronto just lost their starting point guard.

They are left with a shoulder injured SF in Siakam.

Doesn't that sound like a complete blow up and rebuild at this point?

Not going to happen...but man if Warriors could dump any salary not Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond....ADDING Siakam would be sweet.

Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Siakam, Draymond....I'd send the young ones right on over for their rebuild.

Siakam is way to inconsistent to be worth that and Dray can't hold up to significant minutes at 5.

Some of these big signings make me scratch my head. In a lot of cases, teams are just paying existing players, not really improving their rosters.

For instance, Phoenix just kept their team with signing Paul and Payne. They still have to pay Ayton and Bridges. But will that team be good enough? They will probably win 50-55 games again but not clear they will go to the Finals again.

Heat paid Butler, Robinson and signed Lowry. Does that make them a lot better than a first-round exit? Maybe they get to second round or if everything falls right, they get to the ECF again. Not a contender despite all that money.

Knicks paid Burks, Noel, Rose, all part of a first-round exit team. They gave a big contract to Fournier. I doubt that moves the needle that much.

Lakers break up their championship core to get WB and then sign a lot of minimum deals. Maybe it will work. WB will help them win games in the regular season and then not be a factor in the playoffs as usual.

Philly is looking to move Simmons, maybe for someone like CJ. That won't make them better.

Some seemingly big money thrown around. I suspect there will be an adjustment next year to a much quieter FA year.

Chicago just having a brutal 12 months

Traded a lotto pick for Vuc
Made huge signings of Ball and DeRozan to pair with LaVine

Thats a team that could win any given night, but is most likely a 40+ win team that's fighting for a top 4 Eastern seed, but unlikely for playoff success

I said in a previous post that there'd be a lot of teams throwing money around right now, because with the playoff exits of LAL and Brooklyn, a lot of teams may think they have a chance to grab something -- if not a ring, at least a place in a conference final. I too suspect that the FA season will be calmer next year.

It also has something to do with last year being super conservative.

looks like Buddy Heild going to Lakers....That's a huge upgrade.

Feels like Nets and Lakers are all in and Warriors are ... eh.

Sending out Moncrief to ADD Buddy Heild...that's a major creative move.

Feel bad for Dame. Blazers added what, Zeller/Snell/McLemore?

I’d be pissed as all hell right now after the whole fiasco with the Billups hire earlier.

Moncrief? It seems Hield is still in Sacto ... they don't want to take crap in return for him.

Won't mean much to many any here but Patty Mills dropping 43 on Luka and Slovenia to clinch our first ever medal is one of my all time fave Basketball moments

Congrats Aussies!

Waiting for the day Canadians can make noise on the world stage. With people like SGA, Murray, Dillon Brooks, Dort, Wiggins, Ollynyck, Barrett, Boucher, etc. we should be able to field a decent team.... yet here we are
