21 ppg, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists in 10 playoff series... Going to go out on a limb and say that is not one of the worst playoff performers of all time.

He's also going to be the third option now. Very different.

He might have the ball more than anyone else on the team. He's going to be our half-court playmaker.

Vuc and DeRozan are allstar level talent. Ball is a starter quality player who is still very young and on an upside. This is huge.

And again, we are just building legitimate talent, and assets, who are going to be moveable if need be, for who knows, maybe a player of the likes of Lillard. Who knows, but it feels extremely odd to have this much valuable talent on this roster.

Now pay Zach, and get to work!

Honestly, the best off season in Bulls history was 1984, when we drafted MJ. 8-)

But the last 24 hours have been unreal, considering how many times I've read that AKME f'ed up by doing the Vuc trade, because - and I quote - "we won't have any assets this summer to improve the team".

The bulls are back in town! I know some hate the moves but I’d rather try and sitting pat and sucking. It really feels good to be the talk of free agency. It feels good we will be relevant again.

I don't think anyone is counting on Williams to be anything more than a rotation player this year. Now next year and beyond I'll have some pretty big expectations - but I think you make this deal regardless of what you think of Williams. Its a 3 year deal that will come off of the books when you're ready to make a decision on Williams future in Chicago.

Which would be good for him as he'd have to fight for minutes instead of keep starting not deserving it yet.He needs competition to fight his passivity. If he has more in his game that'll be the right moment to show it.Such moves only show how significant was AK's hiring . Enough of players having guaranteed minutes. Let's get some competition . We're back in relevancy again!!
Such moves remind me of Lynch/Shanahan's work in 49ers.I like that.

Jokes aside, we now actually have the talent to make a big move for a legitimate star with the type of players we have. We are filling up the talent stable in a big way.

Yep. Don’t love DeRozan at 28AAV, but with the rising cap it won’t hurt. One of the top 3 LA teams will probably dismantle the next 1-2 seasons and we are actually in a good position to land a big fish with talented assets (tho less draft picks). I’m looking squarely at AD or PG3.

I mean we just added a 22 ppg scorer, who has a TS of 60% last season... Yah he doesn't shoot the three well, so what. He is a great slasher, and added a great element to this team.

This new FO is on fire. Looks like some of you may not like the players or whatever and maybe you'll be right, but the EFFORT here. Oh my god, I can't believe what we're doing.

The Bulls, the BULLS, are wheeling and dealing.

Lonzo for Sato, Demar for Thad? It's nice for once to be the beneficiary of these "well surely my team could've beat that" deals. I left this board because I knew all the fun and ambitious things we discussed here would literally never happen, I was l.i.t.e.r.a.l.l.y. wasting my time and attention and energy on a team that didn't give a hoot about itself. Now look at us. Let's roll.

Stick around, you're a good poster. We're gonna need some of those for our hundred pages game threads. :D
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

If the Bulls didn't sign him, Derozan would be on the Clippers or Lakers. I assume those teams are also building to the playoffs.

And he will be fine in that role. This is far from perfect but I’ll take the upgrades for sure. All the pieces from ball, DD Vic etc are still tradable assets too. You aren’t stuck and you can package 2 of them PWill and a pick to someone for a superstar if one comes available too potentially.

Yes, GarPax sucked the blood and years of our lives out of us. Reinsdorf was a fanbase abuse enabling pos. I am actually getting more angry the more AKME does.

If we keep Lauri we can replace Vuc with AD in a few years 8-)

Yep. During the Gar/Pax era, how many times dis we have multiple 100+ page threads on rumored blockbusters only to never happen? Too many to count.

I'm not happy about giving away another 1st when we still owe another one. But as I mentioned earlier, we tried the conservative and not trading picks thing and it hasn't worked in 23 years. We needed to try a Kenny Williams type approach of being aggressive

Also something to remember, we worked as a team over the cap to make all these moves. We didn't go the route of creating as much space as possible, but instead, used existing assets to acquire talent. And we have only added to that talent/asset pool for the future.
Why so serious?

You have to think Lavine is Option 1, Vuc is 2a and DDR is 2b.
