Ish Smith still out there. Always liked him as a backup.

We wont sign Winslow. There was a lot of weird stuff going on with his injury and the Heat wanting him to play before we traded him. His extensive injuries in Memphis wont help. Pretty sure the Heat are good on that one.

We got old ass PJ Tucker and Lowry, lost Nunn, Ariza, Bjelica, Dragic etc.

WHY DIDNT WE LAND DEROZAN? WHAT ARE WE DOING?

fwiw Tucker and Lowry are the same age as Dragic and Ariza. Can't really lament losing guys on one end then complain about ages of their replacements on the other.

They all took their turns roasting the Heat, and then trying to close the show with well but if this happens we could do this.
The Main items/points they talked about are:
1. Miami went from 6th-7th seed to now a 3rd-4th seed.
2. Miami wasn't as good as bubble Miami in truth, nor were they as bad as last years swept team, more in the middle of both.
3. Miami has very little flexibility moving forward in the next couple years.
4. They Hope there are additional trades whether this upcoming year, or bargaining hunting from players released/bought out to bolster up/improve.
5. It was a good offseason but nothing that makes them contenders, probably the best they can do with the assets available, decisions prior to this year put them in this position.
6. Fans need to Temper their expectations as far what Miami will be doing in the playoffs.

So....common ****** sense?

What realistic move could have elevated the Heat above the 3 seed in the East? Save your time, there isnt one.

Is love and sexton still a possibility? Or we don’t have the assets now?

But Winslow was right, he wasn't good to go. The Heat are to the team to push through injuries and the med team are always gonna err on that side. As a player if you ain't feeling right get a 2nd opinion.

At this point Heat gotta swallow their pride and welcome him back. We don't have a backup wing or a backup point guard and there aren't that many options out there. Winslow can fill both roles

Lowry is a clear upgrade over Dragic, and Tucker is probably an upgrade over Ariza, and we're not adding any age there. Bjelica doesn't matter. He was never really here anyway. We're not so much moving backwards as we're not making significant progress. It's hard to believe that 2 years ago we were going all in on this offseason.

Rescinding the QO was to save Arison money.

I doubt hes even healthy. Seems like chronic problems.

Cant shoot or dribble either.

Im sure Memphis was glad hes a free agent and off their books. Pass.

Nunn going to the Lakers kind of funny honestly, feel like he's not going to be allowed to play near the same way as we let him here. Gonna be deligated to a spot up shooter with Westbrook and LBJ.

Yeah, most of what a lot of us here have said were the same things brought up.
Its kind of sad really its the first time I've seen our Miami writers/podcast/radio guys have such a negative vibe and not try to sell something good about our offseason. They were being very forceful or sarcastic when mentioning anything positive.

Unless there is some trade we're holding out on then rescinding his offer so he can go sign with LA isn't a good look.

Isn't a good look for who? Clearly had no interest in bringing him back, and were never going to find a sign and trade partner. So let him sign where he wants without the QO scaring teams off.

Should have made the Lakers wait the 3 days to see if we match or not. Hate that they are the team that get Nunn :(

I don't get the infatuation with Winslow. He is a huge net negative offensively. And then you have the injury history.

2yrs $10m is a very cheap deal for someone who produced like Nunn did this past season. Clearly we did him a solid by rescinding the QO given we had no intention of bringing him back, but it’s an L to let a talent walk cheaply to a rival Lakers team.

More confusing is why Kendrick would go to LA rather than New York. He could’ve walked into a starters role and significant minutes in NYK. He’s gonna play spot minutes on the Lakers and not be featured at all.
