Because it's effectively a 1 year deal that lets the player jack up their value by playing with stars on the most visible team in the NBA. Potentially winning a championship is another bonus.

just wait out the nasty period in the league for a few years, develop and when all these teams turn crap and at the same time, strike.

I feel like it's the same issue as last year ... what's the point?

I also wanted Holmes and Lonzo as long term additions, but not going to get upset about losing out on the likes of Olynk and Nunn. At this point, it looks like the team would benefit more from being bad (lotto) than being a play-in team, once again.

Just a tough reality that we are now in “Trust the Process” mode but if so why not go all in and move FVV and Siakam for future assets. Like let’s be the worst not the 6th worst

The only good thing about the Lakers getting these players is that it will drive our leverage for a Pascal to GS deal
