Re: Free Agent Talk
If we can snag Hill it will be a pretty great draft/FA haul.
We can figure out the fringe stuff over the next couple days/weeks, but a 12 man rotation of the following is pretty solid.
Steph / Hill
Klay / Poole / Lee
Wiggins / JTA / Moody
Dray / Otto / Kuminga
Looney / Wiseman

they got bird rights on THT, and Nunn for the MLE, everyone else pretty much came on the vet min.

Lakers are just paying the luxury tax like GSW except they don't have to pay the additional penalties as a repeat tax payer like us.

And they can still overpay for Matthews and Schroder.

Re: Free Agent Talk
So as it looks now - bold = rotation
Guards: Curry, Klay, Poole, Nico, Mulder, GP2, JaQori, Jessup
Wings: Wiggins, Moody, Lee
Forwards: Draymond, OPJ, Bjelica, Kuminga, JTA, Paschall
Centers: Looney, Wiseman
So Chriss really needs to come back, otherwise its Ed Davis/Hassan Whiteside or something even worse. Tony Bradley would be cool actually

Belly will be in the mix with Looney and Wiseman. That makes 14. They will either leave it there to have the 15th spot open for a deadline deal or use it now for Jessup/Iggy/Chriss.

Defensive rebounding too, also has really solid hands. And while he's a bad help defender, he's good at man-post defense.. he'd be a bit player for sure, but one that's very unique and does a lot of things our other bigs cant
I just don't value individual defensive rebounding numbers.
As for the post defense ... who is he going to have to defend? AD and Ayton are too quick and the Joker is too effective outside. Not sure the need matches up all that well.
I usually dont chase individual rebrate but his adjusted rebrate kills as well.
He may not match up with the best, but he was an 88th percentile defender of the low block last season (and in the 80s-90s before) on a decent amount of attempts (about 7 finished possessions out of the post per 36).
In a 10 mpg role where he's highly specialized, I've got no problem with it. Plus if he's not worth it, just make the cut. Worth the risk
i don't think Drumm would've been down for a 10 min role, no way, he's essentially going to Philly to play the Dwight role, and Dwight got 17 mins...and he'll probably get even more than that if Embiid gets injured.

Haha, I looked at that. They all sound so sad. My favorite comment "But there were no reports that suggested Wiggins, Wiseman and both the 7th nd 14th picks were available. It was pure fantasy that we created. We had 70 pages of it..."

I think JTA is for sure a 15min rotation player. In my eyes he earned it.

Oubre, what the hell happens with him? He and Schroeder look to have had delusions of grandeur this FA period

That would be so awesome. Hard to see him leaving the Clippers, especially since we can't (or won't) spend much

I'd take shroeder for 1 year MLE so he gets his prove it deal. We get our barbosa 2.0 he gets his prove it opportunity.

He didn't injure his ankle, he broke his leg. Big difference. That said, I'm been in favor of signing him to a vet min from the beginning. He only just turned 24 three weeks ago. As long as he's healed and can still run I say sign him now.

Sounds like I'm in the minority but I love Beli signing at the min. Was a fan of his in Sac.

What the hell are the Lacob’s and Bob Myers doing? Porter is always hurt. Nemanja is washed. Missed out on their top tax mle targets.

Myers has had a great off season so far, but that's mainly due to him staying out of his own way. But he has to do some actual GMing now and get some trades and dealing going.

do you know how free agency works? don't you think they were in on all the free agents they could afford with the TP MLE and vet mins? FA's get to choose where they sign...
