I don't think we can sign another vet without crossing the luxury tax line. And I wouldn't be surprised if Mickey gave Ansy marching orders to not cross that line. I like the vision I have seen from Smart and with Lowry's mentorship he could become a solid backup with vincent for the season. Garrett reminds me of Jrich some.

Yurtseven better be signed and he's gotta be first big of the bench over Dedmon. Play him in regular season and see what he can become. At the very least he's gonna get rebounds.

The Knicks did.

You haven't read the articles.

Nunn turned down significantly more money to go win a title in LA.

I can guarantee you Nunn did not turn down double the money to go play for a title. Maybe a couple of million. The man has not made any money in the NBA to be turning down a large amount of money. He got a 2 year deal worth 10 mil for Christ sake. You guys must be geniuses that see something no other GM in the league believes.

Yes, I am a genius. if I were the GM, I'd have traded Duncan and Herro right after the bubble, and James Harden would be in a Heat uni right now, and we'd probably be defending champs.

Don't make me go through my history of posts and all the genius-level calls I have made over the years.

I don't know how much money he turned down, but Nunn turned down bigger offers in order to compete for a title with the Lakers. So clearly several teams were interested in him.

But he's a steal for what he does for 5 mil a season. He gives 25 mins of production of the bench that allows you rest Lowry whose 36. The reason Heat didn't want is obvious, they don't want to pay tax. Now if they can get another backup pg then it doesn't matter but if not it's a dumb decision. You can't start the season with Gabe as your backup pg

Lowry/Oladipo
Robinson/Herro
Yimmy/Strus/Okpala
Morris/Tucker/Okpala
Bam/Dedmon

We're a solid 7-8 deep. Throw in Oladipo into the mix as well.

I'd say we need at least another pg (George. Hill?) and another serviceable sf being Jimmy.

George Hill went back to the bucks. And I don't think we can sign Dipo or any other vets without exceeding the luxury tax.

So this is why they picked up a bunch of guards for the summer league. To make sure there were ball handlers for Yurtseven

It’ll hurt if we don’t retain Yurt. That guy is good
