Okay so some people talk about his non-defense. You're right you can't get around that. However, we were a top 5 defensive team and a bottom 5-10 on offense. The Knicks upgraded our offense immensely and we're banking on RJ and IQ to take another step. This current team is balanced now.

The consensus on this board is that we were NOT okay with Rose starting and playing 35+ minutes. Kemba helps us on this and he doesn't need to play the back end of the game. His salary and years can't force us to play Kemba those important minutes unless it it warranted.

I think as long as Mitch or Noel is back there Thibs will be able to construct an adequate enough defense

I hope so. Our starting back court is just not good defensively and Randle and RJ are inconsistent as well. Thibs system is also exhausting on that end and will require Kemba to be healthy in order to be effective.

Essentially the exact same team as last year besides replacing our starting backcourt of Payton/Bullock with Kemba/Fournier and exchanging our 3rd string backcourt of Harper/Frank/Pinson with Vildoza/McBridge/Grimes. I wish we didn't tie up so much future money in role players but I can get behind these upgrades.

We were saying that an upgrade at those 2 spots all year. And front office did that.

no way to hate. cutting elfrid is already addition by subtraction. kemba walker is a massive upgrade, and a kemba/rose rotation is perfect for miles mcbride to learn from and step into if/when need be

risk is low tho. i like it.

high reward if he get healthy and holds up. honestly, both he and rose should be happy with a split of the PG minutes. i can imagine the idea is they give us 48 solid like mitch and noel.
