Do we have space to sign Birch and Lauri? I know Lauri doesnt play much defense but we are full of defenders and need some scoring/shooting. He would be a great 6th man.

FVV/Flynn
GTJ/Hart
O.G/Barnes
Siakam/Lauri
Birch/Precious

Trade Boucher to for cap space.

Yeah I'd love Lauri on this team.

Seems like he thinks he's worth more money than he actually is but if he's considering a one year deal with the Bulls, I'm sure he'd consider it with us too. Seems like the Bulls really don't want him back.

Not criticizing the FO here but it seems, irrespective of what happens with Dragic, that we're going to be operating as an over the cap team, which means we will have access to the non taxpayer MLE. Can't think of anyone on the market I'd like better than Markkanen. We should at least make the offer.

I wouldn't move on from Boucher unless he's being included in a bigger deal. He's still pretty valuable in our rotation. As for Hart, I'm not sure what he's worth on the open market either but if all we have is the MLE to spend, I don't see how we're going to get both him and Markkanen and if I had to choose, I'd rather Lauri.

Raps can't move on any Free Agent until this Dragic / Lowry thing is figured out. Which sucks because I feel like we're always falling in this type of situation every off-season.

I think they're trying to figure out just how many players exactly are coming back in this deal. Because so far, it's mentioned that

Precious
Okpala
Powell
WCS
Josh Green
Tyrell Terry
Alex Burke

All have been reported to possibly be in the deal. How many of those we get back is what the Raps need to know.

If the Raptors can squeeze out

Precious
Okpala
D. Powell (Salary Purposes)
Josh Green
2nd Rd Pick
TPE

That would be a solid haul. Would give us a lot of assets to play with

I don't know, they just bought out Kemba. That buy out can't be cheap. Even at half the cost of what was left on his contract that makes 35 mil for 3 future 1sts. Those picks better S*it gold

considering his apparent lack of a market right now, is Lauri tradeable on an MLE deal?

Off-topic, kinda of, but what are the Celtics up to? Jaylen/Tatum are clearly better than all our years of Lowry/Derozan, yet they've done nothing to surround those guys with more talent. I know they are young, but slowly wasting away.

I think so.

He'll need to recoup a bit of his value on the hardwood but I can't see a big man who shoots it like that to not be a value deal at the MLE.

from what i've read their ownership is just really cheap. which explains their offseason quite a bit.

The San Antonio Spurs had interest in signing Lauri Markkanen in free agency, but his asking price exceeded what they were willing to pay, according to Brian Windhorst on The Hoop Collective. San Antonio, however, signed Zach Collins to a three-year, $22 million deal despite his multiple ankle surgeries. - That's a No to Lauri and his Camp. He don't even want the MLE. Also heard that Lauri is not that coachable.

I just can't see OKC paying 30 50 or 70 million to buy out Kemba. I'd love to hear the real number.

Planning to make a run at Beal in 2022 I think. They are reportedly trying to keep the books clean for 2022 and it makes sense that they’ll go after Beal with the Tatum/Beal connection.
