The guy avg 12 points on 30% shooting for us before he got hurt  even his best year in Indy he only shot 40% from the field. Guys a bum and he will regret not signing for bigger money when he was offered it. Was a scrub for the Rockets as well. You guys are more infatuated with the idea of who he can be rather than the reality of who he is.

Why you gotta be taking away the little positivity we have around these parts lately???

Before removing his contract they talked Yurtseven and told them they are keeping him, just needed to remove his deal and resign his contract later for cap purposes. That is why he remain with the summer league team. They will honor his contract.

Gotcha, thanks

He should probably use Chalmers old number as he will mimic him in production most certainly.

Idk I feel like I’m in going nuts reading these forums. Praising the heat for signing PJ Tucker negative 2 points per game. Lowrys 38yr old ass. Same ol team just now DRob is a billionaire instead of minimum contract. Bam hasn’t showed any improvement. Same exact guy last year as he is on team USA. Then praising the signing of a bum that will be rehabbing all year long. Someone has to keep you guys grounded cuz your all losing it, just like Riley

I hope this means no Haslem. We can’t have two non playing roster spots with the age of this team.

Beat writers seem to think he will be back though.

The Oladipo deal is the absolute best case scenario with him. We get a super motivated Oladipo on a one year prove it deal and we retain his bird rights which will allow us to offer him a bigger contract if he earns it.

Contracts like his and Herro’s are what capped out teams need to improve and contend because short of a trade we won’t be able to acquire any new free agents for more than the mle for the next few years.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Honestly, it's annoying at this point. Thank you for everything UD, but it's been 7 years since you were a full time guy.

We need these roster spots for young guys with all the aging talent we have and the fact that we need a spot to make up for Oladipo now

Lowry is a significant upgrade over Nunn and Dragic offensively. The only need now is for another person who can drive to basket to break down a defense, whether that's Oladipo come December or someone else. I don't think the team will be as bad on offense as you're making them out to be.

Lowry isn't an upgrade over Dragic AND Nunn - that's crazy talk. We lost Nunn who had a real role as a scorer and we replaced him with no one. Lowry might be a bit better then Dragic alone. Also PJ Tucker is a lot worse offensively then Ariza - I can't understand how someone can think we'll be a good offense.

We weren't a good offense last year and we took a sure step back.

Its debatable if lowry is an upgrade over Dragic alone.. lets not pretend we getting some offensive beast in lowry.. or some playmaking beast… hes a name… an old name

Well, I don't expect half the games he plays it'll be with ZERO practice with the team(like he did for Miami) nor 25% of the games him leaving early with an injury(like in Miami). Context matters.

Last year before arriving to Miami Oladipo averaged 20.8 pts, 5 reb, 4.7 ast, 1.3 stl, while being rusty because he couldn't practice like he needed too, he was still rehabbing and even took games off because of it. I kinda believe he knew or had a good idea he had to get another surgery and tried to put it off as he could, hopefully until he got to Miami through trade or FA this year.

Jeez, when you put it like that! Anyways whether a train wreck or lightning in a bottle, I am going to watch regardless. Could be a good year to play drinking games.

Honestly, Vert, a lot of people would have said that about Chris Paul a year ago.

I'm willing to give lowry a shot.

And the new arena name has no alliteration like the old one. And they're discontinuing the recent Vice jerseys.

And there's runaway inflation, and global warming.

Wait what? Lowry shot nearly 40% from the 3pt line, a number Dragic hasn't gotten close to since age 30 and lets not pretend there isn't a world of difference between the two on the defensive end. Lowry over Dragic is a huge upgrade.

what's the official timetable set for him?

Had surgery like 2 months ago no?

If I'm not mistaken, his surgeon said he can return to basketball activities as early as November, also said that his knee now had a proper surgery.

Yep. He has had roster spots for all he has done and it has not hurt the team.

We need bodies next year.

Tucker/Morris
Bam/Dedmon

Strus, Vincent, Yurtseven as depth.

I think if we want to shore up PF then we need to hope KLove finally gets bought out by Cleveland and comes on down to South Beach.
