That Dinwiddie S&T will include 6-8 franchise. Brooklyn wanted Avdija + 1stRound Pick and a 2nd. Washington rebuffed the offer. That's why it's taken so long. The avenue is just complicated

Hope they have good back offices, 6-8 teams with contracts finalized on the 6th is a recipe for errors.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Also possible our Lowry deal is layered into this somehow - would make sense - these are the only two deals not confirmed. And making it that large gives a lot of flexibility on the total salaries and the 5% leeway you get with salary matching

That makes no sense... Hes still an asset we could trade at the deadline. And he can still actually play. Is he worth 19 mil? No. Thats just riley overpaying for his guys. But he'll still be tradeable for assets later on. Saying u don't want him anywhere near the team like hes a cancer or something is weird.

My favourite part of the free agency period is when agents have to explain the deal to the media in order to avoid the shame of getting way less than they expected. This one and Nunn's "could have had more" are the funniest two of the season.

I think so. Biggest I recall was 5 teams and 13 players with Antoine Walker.

I’ve been a Raps fan since they drafted Stoudamire. I’m grateful for the Ujiri years. We suffered through some of the most incompetent leadership in sports through certain periods of the teams history. Ujiri has an amazing draft record. He deserves every bit of the praise he has received.

However, to be fair and honest, missing out on free agency entirely, when you have prepared to have cap room to spend for years, in a year when there were several excellent targets at a position of need is an enormous blunder.

Not having a firm landing spot for Dragic agreed to is unacceptable.

I am grateful for the championship and know 100% the Raptors do not win it with another GM, but we must always judge our leadership based on their merit in the present.

The Lowry sign and trade is a blunder that will go down in Raps history.

I really don't think it can be called a blunder until it fully shakes out and see what comes of it.

There seems to be a lot of moving parts at this point in time.

Wrong on both counts. Raps getting more for Lowry than was available at deadline. The Dragic question has not been answered. There was only one possible landing spot as was the case with Lowry. The only reasonable criticism would be that there was lost opportunity in free agency but tell me what FA's were missed? Obviously the FO had no real interest in any at the prices that were being offered.

You realize that free agency always leads to most players getting overpaid right? If you're expecting that all of a sudden players take discounts It's, you'll never sign anyone.

It's been 3 offseasons in a row and we have only signed scrubs. This front office needs to become better at evaluating free agent talent that can actually help this team. Use some of that magic they have in the scouting draft picks.
