He's been optioned, so S&T would be a good fit now. Just speculating since NO(and Mavs) like Dragic.

Why not? We need a dude taller than 6'9. JV would ball in Toronto...and we get off his money next summer. What's the big deal? It's not you paying the salary...and it isn't going to kill us long term. We don't need Dragic because we have a glut of backcourt players but have zero big men (Birch is kinda small).

Honestly...if you expect Dragic's salary to traded for an all-star...you're completely out to lunch and should stop smoking up during the day.

Temper your expectations...

To be fair he added a 2nd piece.... But the 2nd piece was coming our way

This might be an overlooked move! Not sure this moves the Tax meter much but it does open up a spot! This either means nothing…or it means everything! :o

Ok, so the talk was that GSW needed to add some win-now talent and the realistic options were Simmons and Siakam. Toronto has been linked to Simmons and is looking to move Dragic. The Wizards are trying to acquire Dinwiddie in a S&T but don’t have the assets to send to Brooklyn to make it worth their while. There is speculation, but not confirmation, that Beal wants to be traded - that would leave the Wizards as a pretty garbage team. Siakam for McCollum has been discussed and there is speculation, but not confirmation, that Lillard may want out.

Am I missing anyone else that can potentially be thrown into this mix?

Sorry but Paschall is worth more than that to me. Surprised more teams couldn't do better than that.

aligator wrote:Wrong on both counts. Raps getting more for Lowry than was available at deadline. The Dragic question has not been answered. There was only one possible landing spot as was the case with Lowry. The only reasonable criticism would be that there was lost opportunity in free agency but tell me what FA's were missed? Obviously the FO had no real interest in any at the prices that were being offered.

You realize that free agency always leads to most players getting overpaid right? If you're expecting that all of a sudden players take discounts It's, you'll never sign anyone.

It's been 3 offseasons in a row and we have only signed scrubs. This front office needs to become better at evaluating free agent talent that can actually help this team. Use some of that magic they have in the scouting draft picks.
Tell me who we should have signed in the 2019 offseason. Every available star stayed with their original team except Kawhi -- who we obviously were waiting on/hoping to get, so we didn't go spending money -- Durant and Kyrie (both to the Nets). Other available players included Brogdon (21M/yr), Randle (20M/yr), Bogdanovic (18M/yr), Rubio (17 Mm/yr), Young (15M/yr), Dedmon (13M/yr), etc. The FO did perfectly fine that offseason, bringing in RHJ and Thomas for combined 4M.

What about last offseason? The biggest names available last season were AD and Ingram (who both stayed with the Lakers and Pelicans) followed by Hayward (30M/yr) and FVV. The only potential gamechangers we missed out on were Wood and Noel. Mostly everyone else was paid way above market value or took a pay cut to play for a contender. Boucher turned out to be a very good signing at 7M and Bembry was solid at 2M while the FO struck out on Baynes and Len (9.5M combined).

This offseason has been even more underwhelming. The most sought after FAs -- realistically because Kawhi isn't leaving LA -- are the +35 year-old Paul and Lowry (30M/yr each). Potential upgrades that we were linked to recently have all received massive contracts (Collins at 25M/yr, Ball at 21M/yr, Allen at 20M/yr, etc.) because they were RFA. Are you upset that we didn't throw +20M at Allen or should we have thrown ~20M at players like Dinwiddie, Fournier, THJ and Robinson? None of these players are really gamechangers and all of the ones that are being signed for cheap are taking pay cuts to compete on teams that didn't blatantly tank the last 1/3 of the 20/21 season.

It would be like when everyone made fun of the Knicks for signing a bunch of PFs. Toronto would have the largest number of project SFs.

CJ and Trent would both score buckets but I am less confident about having those two on court defensively. Even if one was a bench guy and the other a starter, those are two massive weak points. Portland was a terrible defensive team and both those guys were major parts of the issues.

This paschall move does not mean anything. Warriors just needed a spot for the Porter and Bjelica signings.

Dame's contract would be double in GS, they would have to send a crap load out.

They're sitting at 168 mill before him. He makes like 40 almost.

Not gonna lie, those are some solid depth signings for GSW. If they have a healthy Klay next year, they're my pick to come out of the West.
