Would rather have Barnes I think with this roster if possible

Close with

Russ, Bazemore/Ariza/Monk?, Barnes, Bron and AD

What a weird roster

Yeah, at this point, I’d like Barnes more than Hield as well, considering the glut of small combo guards we acquired.

Reading more into Russ and Nunn makes me feel a bit more confident in this squad

Cranjis makes some good points

Russ and Nunn may even be able to play together

Nunn is a better defender I believe than Monk and Wayne

His offense is pretty damn good and versatile 3 point shooter who can score off the dribble

Russ’ POA defense actually grades out really well

If we are playing a smaller team, we can also close with

Russ, Nunn, Bazemore, Bron, AD

Russ can be a great defender when he's not just ball watching. It's actually very confusing trying to read his defensive metrics because they're all over the place. RAPM says he's a positive, DBPM says he's elite, and then RAPTOR says he sucks. I'm curious to see how he does in Vogel's system

Haven't read anything good about Nunn on that end however. I wouldn't expect anything more than him being a blowtorch off the bench.

If a Schroeder sign and trade is possible ( dunno who takes him at this point) I assume they’ll go after buddy.

I agree Barnes is a much better target though. Dude shoots 39% from 3 himself and can defend good too.

This team is pretty stacked anyway. Kinda stupid adding to it if not for the nets.

Are we really stacked though? Maybe it’s hard to see with how stacked BKN is

Lot of 1 way offensive guys who may not play much in important moments: Wayne, Melo, Monk (he may be good enough on d to play, but let’s see)

Couple of 3 and d guys in Bazemore and Ariza, but 1 is washed

THT hasn’t shown he is a respectable shooter rn, but I am hoping he has really improved

Dwight and Gasol are solid bigs for their roles, but you really can only play 1 when it matters

Nunn was solid now that I had time to digest it (overreacted early since we had so many of these guards)

I trust these guys in the playoffs rn

Bron
AD
Russ
Nunn
Bazemore
Dwight/Gasol

Then it’s likely Ariza

Then maybe THT and Monk, the 2 big unknowns

Melo will likely play though..

Faves in the west....but BKN and even Mil will be tough

Let’s see what this final last move is..

Beal and his wife tweeting cryptically…
It won’t happen, so just allow yourself to imagine the Lakers somehow landing Beal in addition to LeBron and AD LOL.

Stern would come back from the grave to veto that one.

Philly should be doing whatever it takes to work a Beal for Simmons trade

Lakers are already paying a bit of tax and owners don't have deep pockets like some.

I think Schroeder leaves via SnT through the Westbrook trade. That gives the Lakers the only route of getting a TPE, in all other scenarios they have to take.players back and pay more tax.

If we won’t use the tpe, what’s the point?

Unless we get a 2nd or 2 back or a cheap young guy
