Tatum and Brown are good enough to keep them in the mix in the East but they really aren’t doing anything to help themselves..

And I do think trading Brown for Beal would be a step back if they make that move at some point

Assuming Kemba's knee is semi-okay this brings our FA grade up to a C. So it looks like the PG: Kemba, Rose SG: Fournier, IQ; 3: RJ, Grimes; 4: Randle, Obi; 5. Mitch, Noel, Taj Towell: Pinson Westchester: KNOX (and summer league!), Sims, McBride.

I would like to see McBride get a chance at least in pre-season to show what he can do. And I'm curious to watch Sims hit his head on the rim again!

Tatum is kind hard to build around because he's not running any two-man game with anybody and he's only mildly efficient scoring on his own.

Crazy talent, and still very young, but he either needs to become a more dynamic team player or a more efficient ISO scorer to become a true superstar.

That was the turning point. Around the same time I said we better be about to sign Jason Kidd and Kemba fits into the Didn't see that coming bucket.

I think it’s awful how we traded all those assets for him and paid him such a huge contract! Typical Knicks!!!!!

I don't care either way. Anything is better than Payton, but people are shooting their loads like we're getting anything resembling Kemba Walkers prime.

He has chronic arthritis. Not a sore knee. He doesn't "keep getting hurt", he has no cartilage in his left knee.

Deluded sheep in here losing their minds and people from other boards are just laughing at our clowning over a guys swan song for a couple years at home. This is MSG ticket revenue material and nothing more. I feel bad for Kemba because he's a great teammate and a competitor but his knee just betrayed him, 4 surgeries on his left knee years of steroidal injections and now he's been trying stem cells to eek out another couple years.

If he could play he wouldn't be a Knick right now, he'd be on the 76ers or some competitive team. Nice story that he gets to play a few games at home, can't wait for the coming home redux.

Do you enjoy sounding like a bot or something? Stop pushing a BS narrative no one actually believes. We're well aware Kemba isn't the same player he used to be. The important thing to note here is the knicks are *already* a competitive team. He isn't being brought in as the irrational savior or something. They also aren't paying him a ton of money so if his health ultimately fails they can move on. It's a low risk high reward move.

I think Lonzo would be a good pick up just not as a PG. He makes a lot more sense for the Bulls though so it was probably smart not to waste time on a bidding war for him.

One thing is we know Morey knows all the advanced stats, so if he feels you must have a big defensive presence at backup C, then Nerlens makes more sense right off the bat. Yes I'm living on another team's analysis as I overlay it on the Knicks' choices.

Also I'm fearful Mitch is gone.

Well, Drummond sucks as a defensive presence, so Morey clearly doesn't feel you need a big defensive presence at backup C

Also, Drummond is on for 1 year vet min, we signed Nerlens to 2 years 20 mil. Big difference.
