It’s done between Spencer and the Wizards…we now await how to put together this deal.

How about looking to acquire Isiah Jackson or Myles Turner as plan B or C if Avdija doesn’t work?

Done Deal. We’re definitely getting a TPE in this deal or someone else’s prospect.

What a contract for Dinwiddie. Happy for him, but at the same time, I'm not sure if I would've been happy with that contract even if we could've afforded it.

Disappointed we couldn't dump DJ's salary, but picks + a TPE is nice for sure.

tpe is pretty big for the nets. can absorb a player or few for quality depth.

maybe that's part of a s&t with the mavs for riddick?

Slightly underwhelming but 2 2nds + $11.5M TPE isn't bad at all.

Main important thing is we did right by Dinwiddie but got assets and didn't take give up anything else and on retained our current flexibility.

I'm sure we're trying to figure out the best way to get rid of DJ without having to buy him out.

are we even sure the nets are trying to trade jordan? was reading something on twitter that they were hesitant to trade him due to his tight bond with the big 3.

Yeah.... just saw that. I guess he'll be this season's mascot/towel waver/Theo Pinson.

TPE can’t be used in a S+T due to a hard capping provision.

Rumor is Aldridge is trying to get medically cleared to play again. We don’t have any rights but he would probably want to sign with us again if so. His heart condition was just an electrical situation that is common and easily treatable. An electrophysiologist can actually cure the condition with ablation.

I’m really going to miss his humor on Twitter trolling Knick fans.

Underwhelming return, not a fan of letting him go for that contract, but understandable given the tax situation. Hoping we actually use the TPE at some point this season, but I'm not holding my breath. Glad he gets to go somewhere where he's a starter with a defined role, but not a contender who will give us trouble, nor the Knicks. Hope him all the best, Spence is an all time fav Net for me, given his circumstances breaking through in the league and his wit and sense of humor, even if he at times could rub you the wrong way. I'll be drafting him this year in fantasy, that's for sure. Would love it if the Wiz are a 2nd round team this year and we see them there.

I don't hate it. before the offseason started this is what I was assuming we would get.

i'm SLIGHTLY disappointed now, though... because:

1) market on facilitating an S&T was a first rounder (see: Graham, Derozan).
2) We didnt dump jordan in full or even part of his money
3) We had a decent amount of leverage

The TPE is important. flexibility for an 11M player without the tax on it until its realized. The picks dont matter. seconds are just filler. I mean we just had 3 of them and really thats just fodder.

Marks usually crushes trades. this one was more like a weakly hit single. not awful, did dinwiddie a solid which always comes back to help you in future negotations, got the TPE. but looking around, he should have gotten a 1st or dumped 50 to 100% of jordans money.

Overall, still a great offseason.

Yeah, :Levert got all the love and hype but it was dinwiddie who carried us to the playoffs. Losing record with levert, winning record when he sat. winning record with dinwiddie, losing record when he sat. thats true whether you take the 4 year sample and also true each individual season. dude had some allstar stretches of 24/8 play with good defense and clutch shots.

props to him. great net, big part of our turn around. glad he got paid

Absolute trash return. TPE is worthless if Tsai isn't willing to spend more (which is what this trade indicates). I feel like I wasted a lot of my time invested in this.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
