This is going to be a bad signing.. Forbes is the kind of player this team doesn't need, and were good to get away from. Undersized guards that can't really defend or make plays for others, or handle the ball reliably.
The other signings I'm fine with, and won't really hurt the team.. this one will, unless he's in a future trade at the deadline for some draft stuff or a younger player.
Forbes doesn't replace Murray, White or Walker if one or two of them are heading out.. he is a notable downgrade from any of them because of being undersized at SG and not really a solid playmaker.. and will get killed on defense most nights. He can't be hidden defensively.
Not a good reversion and a waste of money.. should of used it on a bigger wing (over 6'5" and length) with size, and a bit of NBA experience.
This team needs to be on the way to rebuilding its defensive identity and attack that it once had from 2012-2018 -- by getting more size on the perimeter and in the key-area with a group of longer and fairly agile wings, and moves like this don't help that at all, unless he'll be moved later in the year. The bigs I'm not that worried about and is easier to rebuild, and is already progressing decently with Poetll and a healthy Collins, developing L. Samanic, etc.
The perimeter is still kind of flawed and undersized defensively to be consistently effective.
