i mean that's an option, but out of rj/fournier/iq/burks/rose/walker you can sit rose/walker from time to time.

I think IQ get those minutes before McBride. Agree?

Agree - I just have a weird feeling that McBride is going to surprise early.

And I do think trading Brown for Beal would be a step back if they make that move at some point

Boston is praying Beal will sign with them in the summer of 2022. That’s why they didn’t try to re-sign Fournier.

Boston is becoming us lol. Remember Ainge holding all these picks and they had alot of good point guards over the years. They are falling

Yeah I agree. For so many years following the Nets trade Boston was in a position of strength. Now it’s not looking good for them.

I don’t think Beal and Tatum is some great team. I’d keep Brown and see what comes of it. Like with Ingram in NO, maybe it’s better to separate the stars but it takes guts to make such a deal.

Negotiating a buyout takes time with millions, upon millions on the line. So you know Kemba's team was definately talking with the Knicks during the process. Funny that the Knicks waited for the Lakers and others to eat up their money.

Come on, you don't think the Lakers wouldn't have jumped on the Walker buyout? The Nets? For $8million? Of course!

I give Kemba's agents more credit than Leon. Leon and WWW were advertised as being these influencers who could woo the big free agents here. BS.

Bro, Leon and Wes have eyes and ears everywhere. Big agents? Like who? Dame?
What splash last year and this year did you want?

Leon was head of CAA, he probably has every agent in the business on speed dial. Who is to say he didn’t work with Kemba’s agent to get him out of OKC, where Kemba obviously did not want to play? There was a lot that went on behind the scene before OKC decided to let Kemba go for free.

I'll bet you both Knicks make a play for Beal at the trade deadline. Or sooner.
Maybe without RJ going out, even, which is why you all are butthurt.
WWW and Beal are connected.
Knicks have a ton of depth - almost too much, and extra picks.
Knicks will give it a try

Well, you're not running the Knicks FO, so there's that.

I don't care either way. I just think they look to do it.

Never was Kemba fan but I am starting today.
Didnt expect he would get buy out this early.

Elfrid -> Kemba
Bullock -> Fournier

We need to consolidate back court.
We need taller wing & front court depth.

Not a bad off season so far

You buggin’? :lol:

Leon’s not allowed to have involvement in Kemba’s buyout. That would be tortious interference with an existing contractual relationship.

Team defense >>>> Individual defense

some people are behind on the times, and Noel's advanced metrics being better than Mitch's proves this.

I legit think the days of fearing having 1 bad individual defender playing 36mpg are basically now gone, even if the player is an undersized guard.

The one exception to this rule IMO would definitely be the bigs. In the playoffs and pnr basketball you need guys who can switch or ride the dribble drive to the rim or press and fall back to the rim. if you dont have bigs that can atleast play 1 or 2 of these styles efficiently you're destined to be a bad defensive team even if you have 3 Norman Powells guarding the perimeter.

It's all about defensive rotations, figuring out when its best to switch or hedge the pnr, having 2 bigs that can press the ball and recover to the rim.
