It’s interesting. Them not trading Frank to anyone for a second round pick probably helped them get Fournier since he and Frank have the same agent. They have a relationship with their agent and that might happen. I don’t think it’s likely, but it is a possibility.

Flipside I rather the Knicks keep that spot open and see if there is anyone from summer league who looks promising.

Vildoza isn’t a guaranteed spot for me.

He could be prime trade product.

I wonder what Minny would say to Toppin, Mitch and 3 1st round picks for KAT?

KAT/Noel
Randle/Knox
Fournier/Burks
RJ/IQ
Walker/Rose

mystery solved.

KAT asking price is going to include either a more blue-chip prospect or a top lotto pick as the primary returning asset.

I am pretty confident that Vildoza is on the team this season. We could trade him elsewhere for a SRP should Rokas look more appealing, but I think we certainly are going to want a non-retirement home point guard on the roster.

I dunno about KAT w/ Thibs again.

The stars that I think we have the most realistic shot at in the future via trade or free agency are Donovan Mitchell and/or Joel Embiid. Dame I think is possible too, but he’s older and I dunno if we’re gunna give the kings ransom for him.

Knicks should just work with Obi and hope that the increasing flashes he showed as the season went along becomes more frequent and brighter before trying to figure out a way to trade him.

Personally I wouldn't want KAT here. He was already soft and had kind of plateaued on both ends of the floor before all of the personal tragedy he's had to endure. I just don't see him ever being what he would need to be mentally to take the step up to being a leader on a contender.

There goes our defense if we get KAT here. I'd rather have Myles Turner.

I'm not down on KAT, given the construction of the team, im pulling that trigger. **** it. The spacing on that team is really good.

KAT
Randle
RJ
Fournier
Kemba/Rose

that starting lineups 3 point average would've been top 3 in the league this past season.

We would give up 120 ppg with that team lol. I’d rather focus on Turner before the season stats or Fox throughout the season as he starts to realize he doesn’t want to be there and Payne hits him up with the “come on...... come onnnnnnn”

they would, but they'd put up a **** ton of points too. besides coach is supposed to be a defensive genius. let him figure it out.

Then we'd have little defense at both the point of attack and the rim. We can't have that.

Question: who is the best balanced (O and D) semi-capable Big who we might somehow get during the course of the season who could both score and defend at least an average level? Someone like Olynk? Ibaka? Someone we could play 20 min a game so it's not 4 on 5 as it was last year and will be again (seemingly)? Even if they're a bit washed, just someone semi-capable on both ends?

I agree. Turner is a nice fit not to mention way less expensive one would think in terms of asset expenditure.

Turner might cost too much. Isn't there a cut-rate Turner anywhere?
