Assuming the Lowry deal goes through and Precious becomes a raptor....I would do a Kelly Oubre S&T for Chris Boucher. Boucher is familiar with the Warriors organization.

Fred VanVleet / Malachi Flynn
Kelly Oubre Jr. / Goran Dragic
OG Anunoby / Gary Trent Jr.
Pascal Siakam / Scottie Barnes
Khem Birch / Precious Achiwa

That roster can easily be successful next season imo

I don't see the allure in Oubre. Overrated defensively and a blackhole on offence.

Agree to diasgree. His defense is not overrated. He's still a nice player. But room to grow obviously. I think our developmental staff can really hone in his talents

I'm normally in agreement with your proposals but I'm having a hard time with this one. Re-signing GTJ was management's top priority this free agency, so it's no secret he'll be an opening day starter, barring any unforeseen setbacks. We clearly lack a reliable big man up front, so upgrading this should be the next domino to fall. Also, I'm not quite sure why I see Precious slotted as a C in most depth charts. Perhaps in a few years time with proper weight training and nutrition but certainly not anytime soon in most matchups.

I think a 3 team trade involving the Kings/Raptors/Lakers would work assuming the Raptors are willing to take back Schroder at or near Buddy's current salary. It can't be done in the trade machine due to Schroeder being a FA but the KIngs would send out Buddy(Lakers), Barnes & Bagley (Raptors), Raptors would send out Siakam & Anunoby(Kings) and the Lakers would send Schroder to the Raptors. Maybe draft picks are involved as well for Raptors but this seems to be a likable trade for all. The only question I think would be are the Raptors willing to take Schroder and would they give up Anunoby.

1. Bagley is garbage
2. Barnes is garbage

Siakam is still a better asset than those two combined. OG is a better asset and pretty much the only untradeable asset on the Raptors FYI.

Lets go by ranking the asset value here:

1. OG
2. Siakam
3. Schroeder
4. Buddy
4. Barnes
5. Bagley

why the F would Raptors trade for the worst assets in the trade by giving up the best assets of this trade and the Kings giving up the worst assets of this trade by getting the best assets of this trade. :lol:

I am warming to the idea of dealing for Bagley if there is any truth that the Kings just want an SRP;
But I wouldn't attach any value to him beyond that.

Siakam and OG are the literally best players in this deal. Raps say no easy

Any deal involving Siakam to Sacramento needs to be Haliburton or Mitchell

He has his flaws but 14 and 7 at least in every season so far in the league. He's super young. Played for a horrible organization.

I would imagine the second we get from Miami as well as any middling SRP from Dallas likely has to go to the Kings;
They get a second for Bagley and a second for taking on the 5m guarantee for Powell next season.

His defense isn't great;
Its going to be a long road to average but to your point the guy can score and rip down some boards.

For a season you take a flyer and if he is awful you don't offer him a QO next season.

Yeah, that's a terrible proposal.

To be fair, some of the proposals in this thread by Raps fans are pretty awful for the other teams as well lol, so this is just how it feels to be on the other side of those.

Value aside for a moment;

Its looking like the Raptors are moving more toward a youth moment;
OG is 23 and Siakam is 27 whereas Barnes is 29 and Schröder will be 28 before the season starts and these guys really are the bulk of the return to Toronto.

My feeling is that OG is likely worth far more to the Raptors than he is to most teams in the NBA and likely won't get moved;
Siakam on the other hand may or may not be available but likely yields a pretty sigificant package toward a rebuild if it were to be moved.

The subject deal really doesn't take the Raps in a direction where they improve and unless its an insane amount of picks coming back in the deal its not really a rebuilding package either.

Guys like Barnes and Schröder are likely more valued around the NBA than they likely will be by Toronto
