I think people just want a change, and they see Simmons is much younger.

However Morey with his high ball original demands are gonna have to be a bit more realistic now. Teams are not gonna give anything close to four first round picks.

So once Morey gets his head right they will be able to make a deal. But he shouldn’t have pumped up that fan base into thinking they’re getting an enormous haul.

nobody said his value is zero. at the same time, right now he doesn't worth much more than a cj mccollum or siakam if it's a straight up trade, which isn't that bad considering that cj and siakam are two all-stars....there were rumors MIN offered a package centered around Dlo that the sixers refused, but that gives a hint on what simmons' current value is. teams that might be interested are teams in rebuilding mode, and usually they won't give you an allstar (if they have one) plus tons of first rounders in return. maybe WAS could be interested if beal wants out, but in case it would be likely phila to send 1,2 picks not the other way.

A lot of whispers about this possibly happening. Ive heard Spears from ESPN mention it twice in the last few days. To think that both parties aren’t interested and engaging on a deal to their liking is very unlikely at this point. I just hope Moody isn’t involved. I didn’t want him at 7 but I love him at 14 and we need his shooting if Simmons is coming.

I think the Warriors are squeezing Morey a little bit. Probably won’t work, but they aren’t going all in on Simmons.

Since the Sixers already have Embiid and Drummond it seems very unlikely they would take on Wiseman. If negotiations are happening I highly suspect they are demanding Kuminga and Warriors will be hesitant to give him up. And considering the leverage the Sixers appear to have right now, they shouldn't.

I don't want Simmons instead of Wiggins, who takes Wiggins spot? Simmons and Draymond together? It's hard to win with 2 defense only players, or 3 counting counting a (non-scoring) center. But these rumors are a little scary.

IF the Warriors trade for Simmons, I would imagine they would have Dray/Simmons as the 4/5 combo to start games (then stagger their minutes) and not have both of them play with Looney or Wiseman. Otherwise you answered your own question about who takes Wiggins spot, because Simmons would just slot into the starting line-up.

The fit is problematic, though, and this is on top of the attitude concerns, the lack of development and the concerns about his ability to be on the floor when it matters. So I don't want to trade for him. But he's still a very talented player who has had great impact in the regular season – so I understand the intrigue, somewhat, if he can be had for relatively few assets (which, of course, doesn't seem like that's the case with those reports).

I've thought about it enough. We are loaded up on shooters now

If all it takes is Wiggins + picks + swaps + rights to Jessup (lol) then I take that all day any day.

I'd be madder at the Warriors than I've been since Cohan if they send out Wiggins/Wiseman/Moody/Kuminga/2 ftp swaps for Simmons as some have said.

Hell no.

Remember a few years ago when the Warriors Myers, Kerr, and Dray were talking about wanting players for the playoffs not for the regular season? Simmons is a player for the regular season. I don't buy it until it happens.

Wiggins and Wiseman for Simmons, Curry, and Tillman.
Adding Simmons while getting shooters and not drastically changing cap numbers.

Portland trades CJ and Covington for Harris and Anderson.
Balance roster

Phi trades Simmons, Harris, and Curry for Wiggins, Covington, and McCollum.
Retool with shooters/defenders around Embiid.

Memphis trades Anderson and Tillman for Wiseman.
Adds to their youth movement.

Picks can be added as needed.

Not interested in Simmons unless it’s basically a straight swap of Wiggins for Simmons.

Would much rather go after Siakim or wait for another star to hit the market.

I may sound too premature and harsh, but If they trade that package for Simmons after all, it will confirm to me once and for all that Lacob is a Jerry Jones like clown, and the 6 year run at the top was entirely due to Jerry West.

Not maybe all the way to the point of Cohenian era and completely forget they exist, but once again time to expect more or less the mediocrity until the new ownership takes over.

I'm really excited to see Kuminga and Moody develop for us. I am not excited to see Simmons pass up on dunks/layups in a playoff game.
I'm excited to see Wiggins play defense and slash to the basket with the added space Klay will bring. I'm not excited to see Simmons's and Draymond's defenders ignore them on offense and triple team Steph and Klay every possession.

This trade is a year too late, no thanks.
