nah continuing to whine like a little bitch on this board after this front office continues to make reasonable and measured decisions this summer is actually delusion.

Nobody is whining like a bitch, if you feel like you the bitch here that’s a you problem my guy.

The front office is spinning in mediocrity, and should be ridiculed for it. You and anybody else wanna be positive about it, cool, but if there’s others that don’t believe in the direction we have a right to voice our displeasure and laugh if we feel the need to.

Anything else you want to add or you wanna keep it moving?

Now I'm not sure if 75% of the post are folks trolling or really that morbid and overtly negative about everything we do

It's sad

I mean it’s okay if you don’t want to win a championship. Enjoy these wins I guess. We’ll always watch someone else holding up the trophy but at least we might get into the playoffs.

Realistically speaking - there are about 3 teams every year that can actually win a chip. I don't hear ya'll bitching about any other team that doesn't. I'm 37 years old and been a hardcore fan for 27 years at this point. The best years of my sports life were rooting for those 90's teams that never won a chip. We root for our teams to be good and enjoy watching them play. I really don't know where this championship or bust idea came from with NBA fans but it's wild. All of this is funny too because the reality is that Lebron spoiled everyone by ACTUALLY being a once in a generation franchise changer. Ya'll keep thinking that 1 percent chance of landing the top pick that will also be the second coming of Michael and Magic is a realistic option - it's not. All of those "Franchise" saviors you all salivate over in recent years are likely NEVER winning championships with their teams. This league is for better and worse about actual franchise guys teaming up together now to win chips, it is what it is. The truth is you all want to tank infinitely until you get a player you personally like so that you can satisfy your own ego's about being right. That's all it is, egotism.

I don't even think a championship would satiate them. They'd be going on about how it was luck, a fluke, fake, we have no chance to repeat, and had we just tanked for a young core we might have a chance at a 3 peat like the real dynasties but instead we are like the 2004 detroit pistons and they they will sit around creating mishmashes of knicks and pistons logos. Some people just want to be sad.

100%

I don't want to say that the team doesn't have a championship as a goal every year, but showing continuity in players and coaching, sustained winning and competing, and general displays of competence from the front office need to be prioritized.

This is definitely the right move and I'm more than happy to watch that type of product play for next 2-3 years...

Nah, war was over in the first round after he shot .298. This is the heat death of the Knicks universe and you're going to have to be his spokesman for any bad performances going forward. Your brand is now tied to Randles for good, may god have mercy on your soul.

No no you were saying you’ve won the war when he gets the super max. Since that didn’t happen you switching up!!

You lost already, we can go back and check the files. His playoff performance was so bad that anytime I said I won you didn't bother putting up a fight and now you trying to claim a W after months of lost ground? I never switched up I said we'd all lose if he became our franchise player. Before the playoffs it was just me, after the playoffs I had an army, and I told you that would happen. I'm warning you now yet again from friend to friend, this board will come for you if this all doesn't work out.

I’m looking at the files right now and you were claiming all year long he was gonna get that super max because of his all star status. Caught in 8k!!

I’m shannon and you skip right now  you lost!

And you ain’t got no army! Just read this thread. It’s just you and sham that’s mad

Leon/WWW/Perry SUCK BALLS!!!

Players see what NY has done for Morris, Randle, Bullock, Rose, etc. let’s give Knicks credit for rebuilding their reputation. People would want to come here simply because they know they will be put in best position under Thibs. We have assets to trade for a #1 if we want to or create cap space to get one in next year. The slow way is the best way. I feel stupid doubting them, I believe Kemba been in the works. Just enjoy the ride fam.

We had turnover every year. This is the best position we have been in since the 90s. We are simply building instead of destroying. Front office, coach, and player contracts lined up too. Ain’t have this much competence since idk when.

I think his scoring probably goes down a hair, his rebounding stays the same or slightly improves, and he's more efficient from inside the arc with more space to operate

Yup. According to the diehard tankers the Knicks are the only team in the NBA on a treadmill and somehow 15 other teams with "real stars" will win a championship in the next 2 years. Dudes think teams like the Kings, Minny and Pelicans are any closer to winning a chip just because they got a guy with more ESPN highlights than we got.

There's no actually team building strategy from them either, just draft someone I like and everything else will magically work out. Site should be called unrealisticgm.com

The pathway to a championship isn't tearing the team down. We should trade Randle (who people will say has low value cause of the POs BUT would magically still net a great asset) to who? For what? The chance at an unknown.

Let's wait around and suck ass like a dumpster fire, get humiliated every night while trolls like Rachel Nicholas F***s stars and makes fun of us for a pay raise. F that. The Knicks are building. We acquired Derrick Rose, Kemba Walker, Julius Randle, Evan Fournier and additional draft picks without giving up any young players.

People act like RJ Barrett is Iman Shumpert. IDGAF about you so called basketball experts, right now he's clearly better impact on and off the court. That is player development. IQ averaged 19 minutes and probably made an AllNBA rookie team. Great. Obi is happy to play at home and back up Randle. The roster is constructed so Obi, Taj and Noel are the bench bigs. Who gives a **** how old Obi is? IDGAF if a player is 40 if he's good at basketball. Give us bench minutes with rebounding and hustle and sound fundamentals. Maybe run some action with pick and roll maestro Kemba Walker and Obii next year.

I will enjoy these wins more than I enjoyed sucking and still missing out on stars. Get good and then get stars.

Read on Twitter

Apparently the deal has incentives like his first contract so Randle might not even be guaranteed to get the full 117. Great deal!
