Depends mostly on how the refs call the game. If they actually back off a bit he should be fine. I would say that he will do as well as pretty much any other starting SF in the league on defense...

Which is why finding a defensive big at the 4/5 is also important

They have more than 25-30lbs of muscles over McDaniels. Jaden is already a great defender, but he needs help.

That's correct, we need a rim protector. But we also need guys who can defend in space. Different players in different matchups.

We would have to trade Prince, but I like the idea of Oubre as a starting SF and Millsap at the 4/5.

Gives Jaden and Vando the ability to cover the 3/4.

See if we can move Prince to the Warriors in a S&T.

DLo / ??
Edwards / Beasley
Oubre / McDaniels
Millsap / Vando
KAT / Reid

If the Wolves run it back, Rosas needs to go. To go two consecutive off-seasons without upgrading the PF position is simply negligent.

Note, I'm not saying Markkanen is the answer, but he certainly is a better option than what was sent out on the court last year.

I don't care who they get at this point, I just want a legit sized, starting calibur, NBA 4 or 5 acquired by the time camp starts that isn't 35 years old

Rosas did come out and say the improvements the team makes would be via trade. Teams aren’t going to make major trades until they’re sure new players are locked in. So anyone that has committed to a contract is not guaranteed until the ink is on paper. August 6th is the beginning of the next phase of free agency, when teams lock in newly signed players and turn there attention to trades and other smaller moves to fill out their roster.

Depends mostly on how the refs call the game. If they actually back off a bit he should be fine. I would say that he will do as well as pretty much any other starting SF in the league on defense...

And doing as well as the others or even a bit better means Kawhi, Tatum and George are going to have big games most of the time. Just the way it is.

It's not about if they score a lot it's about if they score efficiently. If they don't get bailed out by the officials every time they go to the basket, McDaniels length will be an issue for them. If there is a legitimate shot blocking four or five that can rotate in behind him to help on the block or out the rim it only makes him that much more effective. That that is my holdup in signing guys like Winslow or Millsap, they are vertically challenged and I don't just mean height-wise because yeah they might have long arms, but neither of them would be classified as shot blockers or rim protectors.

I fully get where you are coming from and it's relatve, but those three are simply so good that having an effective game defending them is not going to happen very often.

Khem Birch just got 3 for 20....pretty good older Vando comp....no? Might give some insight as to what Vando camp is shooting for?

I pull for guys to get paid...especially ones like Birch or Vando that had to go out of their way to earn their way...but from Wolves side...I'd assume they're hoping rfa minimizes leverage there some & they could be closer to a 3 for 12 to 15 deal?

Switchable bigs that can defend will get more than minimum I believe...even if they can't shoot. His rfa status definitely hurts his market...but I don't see the real difference around him vs a lot of guys....Birch, DJJ, Tory Craig, Thad Young (in his earlier days)....not saying he's getting monster money...but he should definitely be getting more than minimum? Like I said rfa status hurts & potentially being an rfa for the Wolves probably hurts him even more so (could play out like JMac's situation last year some)?

Hart I don’t mind, especially if we sent Okogie out at the same time.

Shroeder? Why?

Shroeder? Why?
Schroder S&T...Beasley going back to LA.....LA needing more shooters....Schroder being able to be backup PG, more of a true 6th man (that can get his own off bounce) & has history of being successful in multi PG minutes?

Maybe we get Gasol in the deal...similar to the strange Caruso potential deal? Maybe we get to pawn off Juancho without having to throw in a pick as well....maybe I'm closer to talking myself into it?
