Re: Free Agency Thread
I thought about Beasley for a Schröeder sign-and-trade plus the LAL 2027 1st, unprotected. The Lakers desperately need a shooter like Beasley, since they didn’t get Hield.
The value might be ok, but I’m not sure we want to get worse and push out value that farm when we might need to keep Towns happy right away.
I don’t value Schröeder.

I say no if Beasley is involved and the best we do is a 2027 pick. Not sure why we want him unless it is to flip him.

Re: Free Agency Thread
I don't think re: Schroeder that it would be a S&T. Sounds more like a really cheap 1 year, prove-it deal for a portion of the MLE. He doesn't seem to have many suitors at all

Shroeder? Why?
Maybe we get Gasol in the deal...similar to the strange Caruso potential deal? Maybe we get to pawn off Juancho without having to throw in a pick as well....maybe I'm closer to talking myself into it?

Yeah I'd rather keep Beasley. We just traded away an expensive backup PG, not sure the point in signing another. I'm guessing they're just checking the market on him and trying to get a value signing.

Really depends on the money and possible trade price for Schroder,if it's some like straight up Bealsey for him easy pass.If it's Schroder/Gasol maybe but at this point in his career he's a 20 a minute a night back up big and we would still need a starter at the PF or C spot.
Plus giving Schroder anything more then likely $15M a year is a bad idea, also has to check his ego and realize he's a 6th man and best suited in that role.
As far as Josh Hart goes full on board with signing him.Can play SG/SF and is like the second best rebounding garde in the league behind Westbrook.Hell in the last season or two average 8 RB a game which is insane.Only down side is he isn't a great 3PT shooter.
But a bench of Nowell,Blolmareo,Hart,Reid and maybe Prince ir another back up PF is pretty solid and well rounded.

WTF with the Schroeder talk??? I can’t think of a worse addition than that worthless POS. The Bride of Frankenstein would literally end my fandom.

I can't imagine us going after him if not to flip him.

This post about Schröeder from the Trade Board amused me
I think if Minnesota is interested, and they should not be, no one should be, the trade would be for Prince.

Re: Free Agency Thread
If nothing else materializes, 1 year prove-it deal at $4-5 million (w/ partial guarantees) on approval from Finch with the understanding that he is coming here to be a 6th man. Cut the attitude and ego and help the team off the bench like you did in OKC and test free agency again in the summer.

Most people here (me included) would have a meltdown if that happened. You essentially traded Rubio to get Schröeder?

Re: Free Agency Thread
I'd definitely keep Beasley who fills a big need over Schroder straight up.

I think this means that the Spurs were lying? If no, someone please translate this into old guy for me.

Aging guy here who still slums it with the kids online. My old eyes thought those were water droplets in the forum post so I thought it was a reference to "Water is wet" as in "duh". Then I went to the actual tweet and saw they were hats. I then highlited the hat emoticon and saw it was a baseball cap. Having recently been hit with a deluge of the slang term "Cap" in the last 6 months I have previously already inferred and confirmed through research that cap essential means lie. No cap=No Lie=No Joke, etc.
So translated literally the agent is saying this info is false. However, the agent may be an out-of-touch old guy and thought he was saying "No cap: which would imply the tweet is accurate. Its best to assume the agent knows what he is doing and the former meaning is what is intended.
