Garrison Mathews just became unrestricted. Any chance at making a run at him? He doesn't solve our playmaking, but adds some guaranteed shooting to our bench

IMO, definitely. 3rd best team in the league if RJ joins.

The NBA is trying to get a new TV deal which is worth 3X what the current deal is.
But even if they get it, it wouldn't start until the 2025-26 season. That means the Warriors core will probably be retired by then.
Yeah, I was talking about the league in general, not just the Warriors. I don't think they can get 3x the money from the shrinking TV base. If the NBA re-does their streaming deal they might make more, but I'd be surprised if it's much larger than the current deal.
Actually some people think the NBA has a good case.
NFL signed a $100 billion deal and NBA is trying to draft that with a $75 billion deal (compared to the $24 billion deal it's on currently).
Sports are the one thing immune to streaming, though a big part of the new NFL deal will include streaming rights as well.
But NBA appeals to a more attractive young and diverse demographic than NFL and it has much greater global appeal.
NBA may settle for a lot less than what it wants but it's likely to get more than what it currently gets. They may have a separate streaming package with Amazon or Twitter as well as allow ESPN to stream the games it broadcasts.
The tricky thing though is that by 2025, a lot of the NBA's biggest current stars -- LeBron, Steph -- will probably be retired by then. So NBA has to find other stars which will draw high national TV ratings and sell a ton of jerseys.

If Warriors get Schroeder or Love post-buyout on the min, I will take it. It looks like RJ extending with the Clippers is just a matter of time.

Could've been timed for use at the start of next year's free agency as well.
/sigh, now it really looks dumb that the Warriors didn't trade Oubre for Dinwiddie.
The obvious issue there is would the Warriors have re-upped Dinwiddie or S&T him? Certainly more leverage if they had him, no question.

Schroder can't be bought out until he signs a contract.

I was talking about Love. Schroeder is a FA.

This is actually a good idea. Underrated player, surely better than Mulder.

But sign with the Lakers and he's dead to a lot of Warriors fans.
Iguodala is just trying to get more money / years. Which is his right and more power to him. But its gotten a bit old for me and I'm kinda over it. I thought bringing him back may be a cool story and could help as a mentor / player-coach for our youngsters, but he's not going to give us anything on the court and we don't really need him at all.
Of course is what he is doing, trying to coax TPMLE and possibly 2 years from GS. The same strategy that he employed when he got 15 mil per for 3 years. Completely different circumstances though back then and now. Unfortunately, what it also tells me is that his odds of coming here had just significantly decreased.
Because what I think he is indicating to Lacob is look, if you are only giving me the vet min for a year, I get the same thing from the Nets or the Lakers. And their title situation is much more appealing.
On the other hand, Lacob is counting every tax dollar now, and I don't think he considers Iggy at this juncture to be anywhere close to the group of difference maker he would love to have, and worth 30 mil he'll have to sacrifice. I may be totally wrong, hope I am. But that is how I read it between the lines.
Oops, I've been wrong before.
Not in terms of that Lacob would give him the MLE, that would have been shocking. Perhaps there are factors I didn't account for. Maybe it came down to him being part of the group with the old guys and Cinderella ending, maybe seeing bigger role like running the 2nd unit. Maybe more appeal here for business life after basketball. Anyway, I am done "assembling" the team together and will look at the finished product.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
the only TP MLE targets that look to be worth the $$$ are.
Josh Hart: restricted and NO would probably match.
Lauri Markkanen: restricted and Chi would probably match.
Dennis Schroder: UFA but seems like a poor fit.
Paul Millsap: UFA but seems like a poor fit although he might provide some David West like minutes.
I was hoping the team could add a vet PG but I don't see anything on the horizon unless Dragic gets bought out.

Other than Wiggins, it’s probably Iggy. Not to stop them but maybe get a key strip or two.
Nobody on Warriors roster has those kinds of hands.
We hope JK and Moody will be able to stay in front and use their length to give good contest but probably not in their rookie year.
So there is value in having Iggy but hey his chances at more rings is better in LA or Brooklyn.
In the regular season I'd be putting both rookies on oppoents best players as much as possible. Get the experience, and young kids often don't overthink it.

Ahh ... english is vague
Still not at all interested in Love, but I'm thinking after Iguodala the roster is done.

I could have worded it better, which is something I constantly hear from both family and friends through multiple texting apps when I message them.

Re: More Free Agent Talk
I like Chriss, if the Warriors don't want to keep an open roster spot, I would be happy with him.
I think it would be in his better interest to sign for another team though: with Looney, Wiseman, Bjelica and Dray, there would not be enough minutes for him and with his career situation I think he needs a team where he can play at least backup minutes if he wants to stick in the league.

Don't want to piss off the Curry family!
Everyone knows it's Mulder being cut if need be.
