He's still only 24...I really love a proven shooter, any way he could be integrated...perhaps he's our Center of the future, next to Isaac? I'd be interested in acquiring him without overpaying or committing more than a 3 year (tradable, if needed) deal and without giving up one of our young prospect core (Suggs, Wagner, Okeke, Hampton, Cole, Fultz, Isaac)...I wonder if they'd do TRoss and the DEN pick? I know that creates a logjam, but he's young and he's got a skillset that we lack - he could be an elite long range bomber at high volume again. I'm not really sure about the fit, but I'm all about grabbing a young prospect in a bad situation-if it doesn't mean giving up young talent.
I really really want Fultz and Suggs to form a big, physical, aggressive backcourt but, if FO doesn't see Fultz recovering further, he could be the piece CHI needs.
Fultz has 2 years and $35M guaranteed. What kind of pick(s) do you think we would have to attach to move him anywhere? Chicago seems like they got their guards, but just curious of what people think Fultz value is.
It's not really about getting anything back. Chicago and Markkanen have all but moved on, but Markkanen wants to get paid. He'd be in San Antonio right now in a SnT for DeRozan but for Markkanen's contract demands, which SA deemed excessive. Charlotte was supposedly interested, but now they've gone with Oubre. His camp claims that he has several offers, but almost nobody has money left at this point, and certainly not the kind of money he wants. Chicago probably doesn't even want him back on the qualifying offer. He overplayed his hand, screwed up, and is now left without a chair. Sucks for him, but it isn't our problem.
