I wish the NBA was officiated the same way Olympics and FIBA is. They actually allow defense and flopping isn’t rewarded every time.

Let's assume for the sake of this exercise that they won't consider anyone with only 3 years NBA experience, so no rookies from this coming year. Also assume that being 3 years away you can't rely on anyone currently older than say 27. And obviously, only USA nationals (so no Ayton).

Off the top of my head..

Morant, Trae
Booker, Mitchell, Edwards
Ingram, J Brown
Tatum, Zion
Adebayo, Wiseman, Allen

I'm sure I've forgotten a few..?

Build a team - not just a collection of all stars. Have a dirt worker or two. A defender. A pure point guard would be nice. Thats my suggestion. Put the team together soon so they play in the FIBA world championship tournament as well.

LaMelo Ball, Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, Evan Mobley instead of Wiseman (or Allen).

I like Edwards but expect Jalen Green to be the better player.

Gobert is destroying USA but Pop refuses to play McGee? Then wtf did they bring him to Tokyo for?

Best part of Booker being in the olympics is the great defense he consistently played through out the tournament. Hopefully it translates to the NBA.

Congrats to Team USA. And especially Book and McGee.

Rest now Devin. You've had a long year. Take a month off and get your body right. Big things await you next season

I was fine with the idea of fouling Goebert - I just didn't get why Pop didn't put McGee on Goebert. He is the best defensive big on the roster and you can use his fouls. Its not like they need McGee's scoring. Durant was the guy for that - with Tatum last night. But yes, I was like "Play McGee!!!"

The US had the best scorer in the World - and thankfully - he had a good game

Agreed - and Shamet might have to play a few more minutes early in the season as Booker might need to ease into training camp a bit.
