it takes a good GM to plan everything in advance. Take the Lakers, Lebron and Westbrook all expire at the same year and they have AD in his prime. We are giving Lowry more guaranteed money that Chris Paul, that’s just crazy.
It's not really that crazy. Chris Paul's deal is 4yrs 120mil with his 3rd year only 50% guaranteed and 4th year Team Option. Paul has 8% raises while Lowry has 5% raises because he's signing with a new team so the difference in guaranteed salary is only like 13mil over a 3yr span.
Plus Paul is a year older and has played 7300 more total minutes than Lowry which is 20% of the total minutes Paul's played in his career.
