That always was a pet peeve of mine with him. That will be a big issue against NBA length.

Frank also had the high dribble. I would think it’s easily corrected and that will, in turn, make him faster on the court. Right now, I can’t see him getting by too many NBA defenders. Summer league will will a good indication of how much work he has in front of him.

I've never really understood the notion of drafting and stashing just for the sake of doing it because it's what other teams have done.

If the FO thinks the player will be an NBA caliber player in couple years then sure take them and wait but have the Knicks had a single draft and stash guy ever make an impact on the team let alone make it to the NBA? I can't remember one, the foreign players they have had all come over nearly right away.

Maybe the Knicks just suck at the draft and stash method so shouldn't waste too much assets on it unless they can improve their efforts at it.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Well if there ever was a draft-and-stash that made a lot of sense, it would be this one. Jokubaitis is going to play for a top3 team outside of the NBA under arguably the best young coach in all Europe who was also a really good point guard. So Rokas will be able to learn a lot from him. Oh and they're also the same nationality.

Barcelonas' coach Jasikevicius used to be Rokas coach in Kaunas, and altho Rokas at a time was riding pine most of the time, Jasikevicius all the time used to praise Jokubaitis for his work ethic and natural IQ of the game. So its not random that Barcelona has signed Rokas, even tho he has a long way to go to be seen as premier European player. It will be interesting to see how much playing time he will get on that team, I fear not much maybe, but if he keeps improving, maybe you will have something here, decent size, decent IQ and all around game, not an athlete, doesnt drive to his right, lacks elite skill at any area.

During his summer league press conference, Rokas mentioned the possibility of joining the Knicks this year if he plays well in summer league. I thought he genuinely looked as good as Luka during the qualifiers, and would be great to have him learn under Kemba and Rose for a full season.

I dont get why Vildoza is in the NBA, never thought - oh, this guy should be in the league. Not even close to that, but we will see.

The only 3 guys I can think of that were stash picks by the Knicks were Fredrick Weis, Milos Vujanic and Luis Labeyrie. Not a big history of it with this franchise.

Frank is a player they should have stashed away for a couple of seasons in retrospect. It was silly to think at 18 he would have been able to come over and have an impact in the NBA. If we would have sent him to Spain for a couple of seasons to improve his jumper and ball handling he would have been better off.

I think the Knicks signed Luca and drafted Rokas for the sole reason of making RJ Barrett feel fast and athletic.

He looked a mess the first game but seems to have settled down. Excited for him in a couple years.

For sure, he looked nervous that first game (which is why I wasn't worried.)
But he looks VERY composed for someone so young. That is what you get from playing in a pro league.

I hope we let Vildoza go and bring the guy in. Even though we have IQ and Deuce as backups, I think having insurance around in case Rose or Kemba are out for a while.
