I doubt the Lowry tampering has any real legs. Miami's FO/owner would have had to have contact with Lowry or his agent about the trade for FA.

Lowry wanted to go to Miami(and a few other places) and let Toronto know that last season, Miami wanted Lowry and also Lowry's side floated out what he was looking in a contract in FA to resign with whichever team traded for him while he was still with Toronto before the trade deadline. It's completely feasible that Miami and Toronto agreed to the trade at the start of free agency and then walked through what each side would give/take while already knowing what each team's stance was since they talked about players for Lowry just a couple of months before that.

If Miami were to get in trouble for just players talking and nothing more, my god, the NBA would be stepping into something they can't control.

Last year Bogdan wasn't just in a trade he knew nothing about but his contract was set without him even knowing about it before free agency started, it's a completely different issue.

There's no turning back here. The NBA can't void the Miami Heat deal. The most would be a small fine if that. This would potentially cost Lowry a boat load of cash since most teams interested in him have used up cap space already. The players union would cause the biggest fire storm in history for the league front office. I have no doubts Kyle Lowry is locked in as a Miami Heat player.

Only one that is suspicious is the Lonzo Ball one. Guy literally committed to Chicago 60 seconds into free agency. Lmao

The NBA could nullify it if they find evidence that tampering did indeed happen but they'd have to be ready for a big fight, but this is a fight that has been in the making for years now. For half a year Green was talking with KD to get him to leave OKC for GS, that's where the NBA should have stepped in because it was blatant.

And so, at that locker, in that uniform, less than an hour after the most excruciating loss of his life, Green punched up Kevin Durant’s number. “See what we’re missing,” Green says, recounting the text message he sent Durant. “We need you. Make it happen.” Green had been courting Durant for months, but this was his strongest pitch yet, delivered at the most dramatic juncture. “Right after you lose Game 7,” Green says, “shows you’re serious.”

by the time Green peeled off his home whites and hit the showers, he could sense that his squad would laugh last. Durant’s response flashed across the screen: “I’m ready. Let’s do this.”

The NBA has allowed this kind of stuff to happen and at some point they do have to decide if they're ok with it or if they have to stop it.

I think it’s up to Spo now to give him a little freedom on offense to take his man off the dribble from top of the key instead of being so robotic. I want to see a KZ looking to score at every chance in these Vegas games. We need to see this KZ more often.

1) a lot of this is the mental aspect. KZ plaed timid, like he's afarid Spo is going to pull him out with every miss/mistake. That's just bad on all levels.

2) I would go the other way - simplify the offense for KZ until the game slows down for him and he get more confidence. I'd make him a 3&D wing - tell to shot every time he's open, cut hard when he doesn't have the ball, and defend at a high level. I think he can hit enough 3's and be a lock down defender which is a good role to start with.

keep in mind that this is summer ;league, so i would rather keep those expectations in check.

**** that, I want to believe.

I see elite defense, great length and a good looking shot.

Can't see why KZ can't be the next OG Anunoby.

Give the kid minuts, confidence and the green light to shoot. He can become super useful.

Even if it does I doubt they will do anything about it. Although the league has burned us before.
