Low motor doesn't mean lazy. A lot of it is conditioning/strength/coordination stuff. None of the players that didn't work out here were ever lazy. However, I will always say Jeff Green actively walked up court and played like he wanted to be on a contender his entire stint here.
I just kinda hate how some players get labeled "lazy" like if Bamba just "tried" he would be 25/10. It's insulting to players. It's in his best interest to try to make money and extend his NBA career. I'll see him be out of position, get tired, or look awkward because of his coordination but it's not because of lack of trying.
If every player had an easy fix to what makes them successful in the NBA, you'd see 300 all stars.
I'm sure you can find singular plays where any player could've put more effort into plays running someone down or contesting harder, but we saw our bigs play for years a very similar way defensively so it may have been a scheme thing with Clifford.
