I'd love that to happen, but I don't think that Sac can give away an UFRP because, like us, they usually sucks and probably that 2022 pick is going to be a lottery one.

The problem is that we take a bad contract in Hield, but we only send Beasley plus crap.

The only useful asset we have is Beasley and it don't seem that many teams wants him

Take out all the picks, add Haliburton instead from their side and on our side add Bolmaro, and a pick swap from us in 2023?

Hield, Bagley, Haliburton
for
Beasley, Bolmaro, Juancho, Culver, Okogie, Layman, 2023 pick swap, next year's 3 2nd round picks

DLo/Haliburton
Edwards/Hield
McDaniels/Prince
Bagley/Millsap/Vando
Towns / Reid

Maybe if we believe in Haliburton enough we could go for adding a real FRP

If we actually got that team together we might have a real playoff shot.

I don’t think we’d have any chance of getting Halliburton. They value him like we do Edwards.

Agree... at least the likes of Culver, Hernangomez and Layman will not be seen a year from now.

We had no chance. These guys go to the best teams. There’s no “should” about it.

https://hoopshype.com/lists/nba-free-agency-tracker-player-movement/

Luke Kornet - 7'2 stretch big, bit slow and plodding though.
Mike James - Decent backup PG option
Tyler Johnson - Decent backup PG option
Timothe Luwawu - High energy wing with intriguing physical tools, feel like there's potential left to be reached here.
Bismack Biyombo - Vet rebounding, shotblocking big.
Brad Wanamaker - Decent backup PG option
Caleb Martin - Decent defensive wing
Denzel Valentine - Decent offensive wing
Ryan Arcidiacono - Decent backup PG option
Cristiano Felicio - Big body, can rebound, and has nice touch around the paint if I remember correctly.
Isaiah Hartenstein - Intriguing stretch big that can pass and racked up defensive stats when Allen/Nance were out.
JJ Redick - Veteran sharpshooter
Paul Millsap - Past his prime but could still bring value as a tough-nosed 4, defensive leader that can stretch the floor.
Shaq Harrison - Hounding defensive guard
Hamidou Diallo - Super athletic wing that can rebound and handle some, has the tools to be a good defender - lot of potential.
Dennis Smith Jr - Still has some interesting upside IMO, could do worse for a backup PG
Dante Exum - Lot of injuries, but could carve a role as a defensive backup guard with slashing ability
DJ Wilson - Stretch 4 with some interesting defensive attributes
Josh Hart - 3/D/Slashing wing, excellent rebounder, can hit the open 3.
Norvel Pelle - Shotblocking specialist
Frank Ntilikina - Defensive guard
Svi Mykhailiuk - Sharpshooter
James Ennis - Veteran wing that can shoot
Mike Scott - Veteran stretch 4
Langston Galloway - Veteran microwave scorer off the bench
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson - Versatile defender, all hustle, but still lacks a consistent outside shot
Harry Giles - Highly touted out of HS, but injury-plagued. Little stretch ability, but a rim runner with shot blocking potential.
Keita Bates-Diop - Heady 3/D mold wing, originally drafted by MIN, also played with DLO at OSU
Stanley Johnson - Defensive wing who is still relatively young
Ersan Ilyasova - Veteran stretch 4
Garrison Matthews - Sharpshooter

International players:

Tyler Dorsey - Sharpshooter
Donatas Motiejunas - Stretch big
Zhou Qi - Stretch 5 with shotblocking ability, was rail thin during his brief stint in the league, not sure if he's bulked up since then
Nando De Colo - Veteran PG who has improved a lot since his time in the league
Guerschon Yabusele - Stretch 4 who seems to have improved his body/game since his time with the Celtics

I'd do it for sure, but I don't think that the Kings will listen to a offer for Haliburton unless you give them much more than his value...

Maybe, but if we had recognized right away we may have been able to sign him before other teams jumped into the mix.

Very interesting. Though that feels more like something that would have repercussions under Stern more than Silver. No knock against Silver as he’s the best commish, but he doesn’t seem to wield the heavy hand like his predecessor.

Markkanen needs to lower his asking price to 10-12mil per.. We can do sth like 4 yr 48mil 4th yr=team option. Prince+2nd rder or huancho+culver+2nd matches that salary.

I understand Markannen is a better overall player than what we have at PF, but I wouldn’t want to make a 3-4 year commitment to being unable to defend.

Personally, I’d rather start the cheap McDaniels and Vanderbilt, and keep our options over for a better fitting PF in the future.

It's not that I disagree, but at some point, the team has to pick a direction. You can only continue the same path for so long (two years and counting at PF).

Nope. They want to go to good teams in cities with great weather. They don’t want to go to bad teams in cold climates.

There’s been a part of the CHI fan base that suggests he has improved defensively and it made no sense to trade him now, but their FO seems ready to move on. Either way, it’s apparent his value is <$15m and I think he was looking closer to $20m. Clearly I’d prefer not to add in any FRP if we did do anything, but right now it’s looking like a game of wait and see

No shot Lauri Markkanen takes $12MM with a Team Option. Unreasonably low number, he should just take the Qualifying Offer and enter next year as an unrestricted free agent, at that point.

That aside, Lauri Markkanen is roughly a league average defensive player, people just assume he’s worse because of the Euro stigma. He would absolutely be a good pickup for Minnesota, even if the fit is not “ideal”. Minnesota’s Power-Forward rotation is a serious problem, given that they (correctly) envision Jaden McDaniels as a Small-Forward/combo-forward. Swapping Jauncho with Markkanen legitimately gains Minnesota multiple wins on the season.

If he's a league average defender it sure doesn't say much for the rest of the league.
BTW, his DBPM is minus 1.3 which is below average.

I might be able to live with the guy if Chicago did a sign and trade taking expirings from us in Juancho, Okogie and Layman. They won't do that.

Beasley trade for Markkanen sign and trade 3 yrs 45 mil. I would prefer a multi-player trade. Where we get markkanen, coby white, and either Denzel Washington or Thad young. We get starting PF and backup pg and a good shooter or 3D guy if we get Thad Young.

I like Lauri. Not paying him that or giving up a first round pick for the privilege to sign him.
