Given the state of the conference, if we make the playoffs this year, it’s a very good sign for our future. Seems unlikely, but if Cade is an instant all-star, Stew proves to be a viable starting center, Bey adds to his game on both sides, and Killian looks like a legit starter, then I’m good — more than good — with making the playoffs.

Def wouldn’t mind adding Banchero to the squad, tho.

The ideal scenario is good play by the youngsters, an exciting non-tanking stretch drive that results in missing the playoffs, a lucky lotto ball, and a top 4 pick. Fingers crossed.

It really hinges upon Cade
Trae didn't do it as a rookie though

Our veterans aren’t good enough to get us there.

Reaching the playoffs would require more rapid development and progress from the youngsters than anyone was predicting. It might even require guys to turn out to have higher ceilings than they project to have now.

So no, it wouldn’t be disappointing.

No franchise ever failed because their youngsters developed too fast or too well. That’s not a thing.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the haters!
That's what's best in life!
I want our team to win so much that lamers might be tired of all that winning!
I want teams to be afraid to play us.
We can't be bargained with. We can't be reasoned with. We don't feel pity or remorse or fear.
We absolutely will not stop EVER until we achieve victory!

Ask me again if I'd be disappointed if we make the playoffs.

That was quite inspiring, Conaninator.
