Ya if turning down a 4/80 deal and getting a one year 10 million dollar deal isnt going to motivate you to play/behave a different way then nothing will.

I dont care about player attitude. This team needs talent. Thats why we brought in a new coach, to get through to players. Lets see if Ime can do that.

IDK guys. It didn't work so well with Kyrie. And Kyrie is a much better player than Schröder.

Yup. Apparently Chris Paul stepped down as President and CJ McCollum is now the new President.

Grant takes CJ's previous VP position and joins Jaylen, Brogdon, Kyrie, Biyombo, and Garrett Temple (all VPs), and Iggy is the "First Vice President."

If he's as big a jerk as they say, he won't be able to help himself and he WILL do it again.

If Jaylen didn't have that wrist surgery, he probably would've been part of that Olympic team. Shame.

But congrats to Tatum on that gold! Played a great game in the gold medal game. It'll be the first of many

IDK guys. It didn't work so well with Kyrie. And Kyrie is a much better player than Schröder.

all indications are, Kyrie is one of (possibly the most) mentally unstable players in the NBA. there's nothing to indicate Schroder is in that same category.

I don't really see how the 2 of them could be related.

The way he plays, and the way he seems mentally. schroder reminds me of Rondo, except 2 inches taller - Rondo was a better passer but Schroder is a better scorer. Schroder is 28. So if we can get Rondo at age 28...2 inches taller, for a cheap contract. Yes, please.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

I was surprised Grant Williams was elected to the NBAPA. He seems like a marginal NBA player. I mean jury's out that he gets another contract after his rookie deal, right?

Can we extend Smart and still sign Beal in FA?

Smart
Beal
Tatum
JB
Rob

and if we're really greedy Nesmith...would be incredible.

If they resign Smart it has to be a S&T to get Beal. It makes it difficult in the sense that other teams with better draft capital and or young players jump ahead of you in line unless Beal only wants to come to Boston. Thats what you have to hope for. That he doesn't want to be a Warrior or Blazer.

Flat out signing Beal in FA will not be possible if Smart gets extended.

Alot like Rondo to me too. Especially in open space going to the basket. Also, for anyone who hasn't listened to Schroder in a post game interview, he's smart, level headed and humble. He's getting a bad rap somewhere.

I'd caution judging based on what a guy says in an interview over the reputation he has earned among players and coaches in multiple organizations.

Quotes or hearsay? Besides there's 2 sides to every story.
All I know is his interviews and he's pretty close with Theis and Theis is a solid dude.

Wow first thing JT does when getting home from Tokyo is party with JB. That's great! They clearly have a very close bond.

Flat out signing Beal in FA will not be possible if Smart gets extended.

The fact they offered it to Marcus indicates one of two things

1) The FO believes Smart is their 3rd star and wants to keep him no matter what

2) the FO is pessimistic about Beal choosing Boston.

Such a dumb move to offer even before FA next year.
