Thanasis just won a championship in a season that he actually got meaningful minutes. I think he should cash in that and return to Europe. He is only 28, done enough for Giannis, it's time for him to play some basketball.

If the Bucks decide to move on from Donte, any chance they can swap him for Chuma Okeke?

Yes, we really need one more mobile Big.
I have the same concerns. Brook and Portis are so important to our scheme that if one of them gets injured, we are in trouble.
I would cut Bryant and sign Hartenstein for sure.
Use Hartenstein to keep Brook and Portis fresh for the playoffs.

no need to cut Bryant; his contract isn't guaranteed. I think they do need another 5. He doesn't have to be very good, but good enough to play 6 minutes a game against Philly in the playoffs.
Did Cleveland get out of Hartenstein's contract?

Oubre signed with the Hornets, 2/24

Oubre already signed with Charlotte.

Vanderbilt's jumper is even more broken than Giannis', so they couldn't be on the floor at the same time. Huge drawback. We need a viable 3&d big wing, not just a big wing who can d it up (and rebound).

Vanderbilt can dribble and pass well enough I could see him and Giannis working alright together at the 4 & 5.

Thinking about whether the Bucks might have told Bobby he could be the starter here sooner rather than later if he sticks around.

Lopez had a great playoffs for us but is getting up there in age, and might not mind being able to take it easier in the regular season. He also thrived in lineups without Giannis where he has more room to maneuver in the post, alongside how Portis’ shooting has surpassed Brook’s which gives Giannis more space as well.

So what do we think the chances are that Bobby starts this season?

What about Amir Coffey? I'd throw him some sort of offer and see if the Clippers match. I liked what little I've seen of him.

Lopez.is definitely replaceable. I don't think his playoffs were "great". Lowest plus/minus amongst the starters, didn't shoot great from three, and was constantly iso'd at the perimeter on defense and gave up a lot of points there per the opponent's strategy.

Was playing around with a package of Donte/Brook/22 FRP.

Naturally one of my first stops was Orlando as I want to steal Bamba before he blows up. My question is how attached is Orlando to Cole Anthony? Seems to be a logjam with ball handlers with Suggs, Fultz, Hampton and Anthony.

Brook/Donte/22 First for Bamba and Anthony

Orlando moves two guys stuck in a logjam and reunites Brook and Robin in the magic kingdom.

We get two young players and save around 10 million bucks against the tax.

Holiday/Anthony
Allen/Hill/Hood
Middleton/Pat
Giannis/Nwora/Mamu
Bobby/Bamba/Diakite
Do it for Chuck

Bamba's fit with the second group is enticing, especially his defense next to Nwora. Not that big on Anthony myself. I would hold onto DDV if at all possible.

Replaceable by whom though?

Wouldn't be against trading Brook, but I can't think of a trade I like.

Bamba mentioned above is a good choice. Myles Turner is another good choice. In our scheme we need a guy that can guard the perimeter, shoot an occasional three, and provide rim protection. Also won't age poorly on a current contract.

When Giannis is trying to iso or post, Vanderbilt's man is dropping way off to double team, while not getting punished. It's a no go, unless he develops a jumper, & I don't know what evidence they'd be looking at to theorize that. His ft shooting even sucks.

I don't know why it's so difficult to acquire a good one of the leagues 100 3&d wings. The closest we've had in the last several years is Tucker, we won a title (w/ some fortune), and the 3 part is really debatable.

I thought Ojeleye was potentially a keen move, but he shouldn't be the guy we bank on. I don't necessarily think this urgently needs to get done this offseason because the playoffs are what matters, but they could have gotten one for "free" w/ the tpmle, we could be leveraged at the trade deadline, and still not pull it off if assets have dried up.

Muscala could be a great fill in for Lopez while we find a longer term replacement, he only signed a 2yr $8mil deal making him one of a handful of useful bigs we have the contracts to trade for. Naz Reid is my personal favorite younger target although I don't know how MIN feels about him. Valanciunas could also be a possibility when the Pels **** the bed by the deadline, I feel like JV would be great here.

We still have a TPE left we can trade, correct? Would we be able to attach that with Donte? I'd think you could maybe get a decent piece for that package, if they decide to move forward with Grayson instead. Personally wouldn't mind just keeping both Donte and Grayson but I'd understand if they wanted to move one, because of their impending RFA.

They used the significant TPE on Allen and they can't be combined with a player to match salaries. I don't think we have one left that's larger than the minimum salary, and I don't really understand what the purpose is of a TPE smaller than the minimum exception.
