Vanderbilt's jumper is even more broken than Giannis', so they couldn't be on the floor at the same time. Huge drawback. We need a viable 3&d big wing, not just a big wing who can d it up (and rebound).

Vanderbilt can dribble and pass well enough I could see him and Giannis working alright together at the 4 & 5.

When Giannis is trying to iso or post, Vanderbilt's man is dropping way off to double team, while not getting punished. It's a no go, unless he develops a jumper, & I don't know what evidence they'd be looking at to theorize that. His ft shooting even sucks.

I don't know why it's so difficult to acquire a good one of the leagues 100 3&d wings. The closest we've had in the last several years is Tucker, we won a title (w/ some fortune), and the 3 part is really debatable.

I thought Ojeleye was potentially a keen move, but he shouldn't be the guy we bank on. I don't necessarily think this urgently needs to get done this offseason because the playoffs are what matters, but they could have gotten one for "free" w/ the tpmle, we could be leveraged at the trade deadline, and still not pull it off if assets have dried up.

2 ways to beat a double team. One is the 3, the other is to rotate to the dunkers spot. Vanderbilt is a terrific finisher.

Also, Vanderbilt just finished his age 21 season. His shot could develop. If Bud and staff could teach Carrol and Bazemore to shoot, I'd have some hope for Vanderbilt.

I would love any of Ntilikina, Jackson, Svi, Matthews, Vanderblit on a 3y/6mil with the rest of the tax-MLE. Free SRP vibes in everyone.

Oubre signed with the Hornets, 2/24

They're paying him that much because they think they can recoup some of that money with a Hornets Calendar featuring pictures of him.

Replaceable by whom though?

Wouldn't be against trading Brook, but I can't think of a trade I like.

Bamba mentioned above is a good choice. Myles Turner is another good choice. In our scheme we need a guy that can guard the perimeter, shoot an occasional three, and provide rim protection. Also won't age poorly on a current contract.

We don't have a viable route to obtain either of those guys. That's kind of the issue when it comes to upgrading or replacing Lopez.

I think you have to open yourself to "replacing" Lopez with a different type of player, if you're set on replacing him.

Between Lopez, Giannis and Bobby, we can throw any look we want, at any team. People who want him dealt are just bored.

Dude would have gotten a 3/$50 contract if he was on the open market last week.

Bucks had 4 of the top 5 players in DWS for the playoffs. Giannis, Jrue, Khris, (Ayton), + Brook (5th). He's a key cog for sure.

If we want a big to pair with Giannis who is quicker and a better shooter, we’ve got Bobby, who just made a commitment like a guy who would be here for the long haul if we have a role commensurate with his skills and sacrifice to the team.

Maybe it’s not this season but I could easily see Portis being our starting center for years to come.

Lopez would still be a valuable contributor off the bench and we’d have no need to trade him unless a clear upgrade is available (or if the owners insist on tax savings).

Bobby is an energy player off the bench who’s an extreme wild card, he is what he is, you ask for more you’ll be disappointed

This season's opening day roster is definitely better than last year, can't wait for the pre-season to start.

Apologies if this has already been covered but if anyone knows, what is the biggest contract we can give Bobby next off-season?

Pistons fans seem increasingly ready to bail on Killian Hayes. He was always going to be a project, I would see how close Donte gets me in trade talks.

If Vanderbilt could just make a respectable amount of 3's, he'd be special.

You can bet the Bucks will look to find a cheaper replacement for Brook this season - for lux tax reasons. Hard to say if they'll be successful.

We still talking about getting bigs that can't shoot on a team with Giannis? I like Vanderbilt but even if I loved him, pass.

He just finished his age 21 season, I don't think the type of career he'll have has been etched in stone yet.

If Bud and staff could teach Carrol and Bazemore to shoot, I'll let them take a chance on Vanderbilt.

I don’t know if I agree.

Portis’ 3-ball certainly seemed like it got better last season. And his defense appeared to go up a notch in the playoffs.

He seems likely to be just entering his prime at 26 coming off his first year with a winning franchise.

Sure he might have reached his peak. But on the other hand I don’t see why it’d be so unlikely that Bobby keeps improving.
