Well...fred can guard the pgs while scottie handles the tatums and browns of the world so he doesnt have to...while offensively playing off ball to scottie. From what I've seen of him, he's not a traditional PG, no. He's not a "1". You can scream it at the top of your lungs if it makes your feel better. It's okay. It's alright.
He will be able to play PG. It will probably never happen because Van Vleet's natural position is PG and he is going to thrive being at PG instead of being a 5'11 SG trying to shoot over and contest Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown which was ridiculous.
