Barnes was great, but I was really impressed by Flynn, he straight up dominated on offense and scored at will.

I wasn't a huge fan last season but seems like he may have potential as a solid 6th man.

Barnes also did way more things apart from scoring the ball

Yes, it’s just 1 game but it’s pretty exciting to see what Barnes can become

I think Barnes can be the best complete player in the draft.

The guy is gonna have the ball in his hands the majority of the time. Turnovers are going to happen.

He turned the ball over 4 times per in college. 5 tonight w/ 2 assists. Can expect turnovers to happen but not at that rate especially if he's not dropping at least equal amount of assists......1 summer league game still, I'm sure he'll figure it out but just something to watch for.

If the front office passed on Suggs because they didn’t want to block Malachi Flynn’s path to minutes, that could be a calculation that pays off big.
I was more settled on Suggs than I was sold and Malachi coming in was as impressive as Suggs aside from that game winner and measurables.
Scottie is just a fun player to watch.

The efficiency scores for the top 4 picks today (based on how FIBA calculates efficiency):

1. Scottie Barnes +23
2. Jalen Green +20
3. Cade Cunningham +7
4. Evan Mobley +3

how to calculate: +1 for every point, assist, rebound, block, steal;-1 for every FG missed, FT missed and turnover. Basically a way to aggregate who had the best overall box score. Obviously this stat doesn't take into account on-ball or team defense, screen setting etc but Barnes does well in all those areas that don't show up on the box score.

He will be fine once the season starts. Not sure who he was playing with just now because I did not watch.

Can’t wait for Wednesday. Hope Barnes puts together two good games in a row.

Don’t want it to be like Davion where he had one good game and then an awful one.

I see Barnes being a great second in command to the team. Now if the Raps can draft or land a superstar or elite talent they could really take off in the next few years. Pascal can revert back to being the number 3 guy which suits his role.

Let’s see where management pivots towards this season. I agree with your sentiment and with Siakam not coming back until December it gives the team a perfect excuse to focus on development over winning. Then next offseason we draft that elite shot creator that this team sorely needs (Hardy/Banchero types).

My fear is our team is too good to tank. We'll probably be the best defensive team in the league and surrounding Barnes with shooters might lead to some wins.

We might be able to steal a few games, but we’ll lose plenty more without a 4th quarter closer like Lowry. Maybe just enough to sneak into the playoffs would be possible. Teams like the Knicks, Chicago and Indiana are a little more further along then us. Who knows though.

Thrilled for the kid. One game...in summer league with fringe NBA players who are all fighting for an invite or roster spot at best.

With that being said, He Stay.

Supposedly people are saying Cade is 6'6 which is why he looks smaller than we all thought. But I swear he was listed as 6'8 in the scouting reports since last year though

What I like about Scottie is his vision. It's not only his 5 assists but he had a lot of hockey assists and moved the ball very well.

I can see Barnes having a few wild games where the Barnes haters/Suggs lovers will rejoice.

He is young, and there is a lot of learn, but gotdammit, it is very tough NOT to get super excited with what Barnes can develop into.
