Yeah I guess he looks like he is gonna be legit. Of course practice is different than games. But the talent is enormous. I wonder what a comp for him would be. Before the draft I was saying there is something about those big ole great plains states QBs, throwing in all that cold wind and snow. Josh Allen, Lance. Unfortunately the other guy I was thinking of at the time was Wentz, but he had a successful career even if short lived

jay cutler was a little bit good. gonna take more than that

Not the same situation at all lol.

how so roflcopter

jay cutler was the #11 pick in the draft. justin fields is the #11 pick in the draft. jay cutler was coming off a pro bowl in his 3rd season when the bears traded 2 first rounders and more for him. he was living up to the hype. the bears traded 2 first rounders and more for fields. younger but hasn't proven himself. the team was even a bit better when the cutler trade was made. if justin fields is the next jay cutler he will not own this city. jay cutler is the bar he has to clear

I think he is implying that Cutler wasn’t a likable personality.

that would also imply that cutler would have been the toast of the town had he had a "normal" personality. which i reject. maybe if he was jim mcmahon...

My god he's going to be a blast to watch.

Hoping he shows out in the preseason, takes the job and we come out guns blazing.

Definitely caught up in the Fields hype here too. Trying to curb the "6'3" Russell Wilson" expectation as much as possible but pheww I cant help it.

Boo.

Get that filth out of here. Stared down his receiver. No pads. Wobbly ball. Next 4 balls were probably underthrown. Etc.

This is a Justin Fields zone.

Mitch's deep ball accuracy was bad and never got better, maybe he figured it out away from here but he sure as hell wasn't learning it here. Wish him well, glad we've got JF1!

Goin to the game on Saturday! Seats are so cheap and Justin Fields only suits up in the Bears jersey for the first time ever once.

EDIT: And going back to the stupid parking debate, I'm parking at Grant Park South for $16 and it's a 20 minute walk to the stadium. I'd normally take public transit but my mom is in town and with Delta I don't wanna take that risk.

Bet it’s going to be electric when Fields gets out there.

Defensive head coach, no established weapons, NYC media, being thrown to the wolves. That's a mess waiting to happen.

Not surprised Wilson is struggling. Fast riser who played a weak schedule, NYJ just shreds their young QBs.

Fields is the real deal. I’ve been saying it since he was drafted. He has all the tools and the work ethic. QB1 by game #2 (Dalton will be sacrificed to the wolves aka Rams)

Can we interest them in a gently used Superbowl MVP?

To not go into the season with a veteran QB is Peak New York Jets.
